What I expect my team to do, and what I would be satisfied if they really did are two different things. Honestly, the success is going to depend on divisional play, and the Phillies right now are younger, faster, and more confidant. But what would I be satisfied with? It just seems that their power is diminishing, and although they should be putting up at least 6-7 runs a game, they haven't really done that in the past few seasons. I can't wait to see a game where they click on all cylinders with Santana striking out 14 and the Mets scoring 8 runs. Is it just me, or do other fans notice the decline in power from the Mets' power? Random wonder: Why does it seem like every other team except the Mets can hit homeruns? We all sat back and enjoyed the ride last year and look where it got us. It makes me anxious about all the sports teams i root for. almost cringed at the ranger game last night when Micheletti kept talking about playoff positioning instead of making sure they clinch a spot first. "Expect" and "satisfied" are not terms I like to see when it comes to projecting into a baseball season. For me, I'm happy to just sit back, and enjoy the ride with this team. I'm excited for Johann, and the rotation should be much improved. We are as good as anybody. Let's just sit back, cheer our team through good and bad, and hope for the best. Whether we are personally "satisfied" with the outcome of this season is not something to worry about. At this point, we have as good a chance as anybody to win it all. That's all you can ask for at this point in the season.
