preGame: Mets vs O’s, Duque vs. Pelfrey
By Matthew Cerrone - Mar 28, 2008 12:40 pm

The Mets will face the Orioles at 1 pm today in Fort Lauderdale.

Orlando Hernandez will start for the Mets, followed by Mike Pelfrey, both of whom are competing for the final spot in the team’s starting rotation.

…in fact, Billy Wagner and Jorge Sosa will throw only a bullpen session, so that pelfrey and el duque can battle it out, mano a mano, on the mound during the game

SS Jose Reyes will bat leadoff, followed by 2B Luis Castillo, 3B David Wright, OF Carlos Beltran, 1B Carlos Delgado, OF Ryan Church, OF Fernando Tatis and DH Brady Clark.

For more on Pelfrey vs. El Duque, check out the following clip from SNY’s Loud Mouths, featuring Adam Schein and Chris Carlin:

I’m pretty sure this is the first time our opening day lineup has taken the field, pitchers notwithstanding

      • I like Angel over Tatis though.

        • Nate W. says:

I’d agree, but I dont think Willie will

        • mackey_sassers_arm says:

How come there is sometimes a great emphasis on defense (reason for demoting Gotay) and sometimes they don’t seem to care about defense at all (Shawn Green last year, Tatis in LF)?

        • ravi3 says:

Well they have been stressing up the middle defense over everything, and that is why they are more concerned about 2nd Base than RF or LF

        • Nate W. says:

Tatis isnt any worse than Pagan in LF. Pagan makes everything an adventure much like Milledge when he played the corners. Tatis is just slower but seems to take proper routes and gets there just the same.

We already know Endy cant play every day or Willie would use him for his defense over everyone else.

        • mackey_sassers_arm says:

when they got church, they mentioned that his superior defense in RF was a reason the trade helped the team.

        • Nate W. says:

I know, and they insisted on playing Green in RF while Endy or Milledge played LF with superior range and throwing arms.

The Mets are very open about thier contradictory logic and reasoning, so it shouldnt really surprise us anymore.

        • Hit The Weights Zeile says:

          i love it

        • Nate W. says:

          :)

  3. Hope they both do well, esp. pulling for the Duke, he’s got something left in the tank, I’m sure.

Pelfrey needs a good outing too. Should be a great game (I can’t watch!) :(

  4. Coolpapabell says:

“so that pelfrey and el duque can battle it out, mono y mono, on the mound during the game…”

LOL! You just wrote they can battle it out monkey to monkey!

    • ChodeMcPherson says:

Actually, he wrote “monkey AND monkey.” Matt, with all the Latinos on this team, you might want to check up on your Spanish a bit before using it. The phrase is “mAno A mAno.” But we all knew what you meant anyway, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.

      • darkstar73 says:

we did all get it, but for someone who dedicated a post a couple days ago to correct Tom Verducci on a grammatical error, Matt might want to be a bit more careful, considering he has a grammatical error nearly every other post.

        • cgroovin says:

it wasnt even a grammatical error in the true sense. what verducci wrote makes sense. its just a matter of HOW it was read.

    • saltzy007 says:

Well….I mean technically it could be considered spanglish, couldnt it? Mono(as in english for single) y (spanish ‘and’) Mono…Like ‘One on One’

Cleary he meant mano, Im just curious. I’m not exactly fluent in spanish…

    • sincekindergarten says:

      “Monkey to monkey.” That’s funny.

I’m no one to comment about spelling, grammar, etc. I have enough trouble keeping my posts correct. The day I start to correct someone else, I had damned well better do it via email, and I better make 110% sure that I never have a slip-up.

  5. saltzy007 says:

Does anyone else have Comcast? Last night was the 1st time(or at least 1st time I just noticed), that SNY now how its own fully dedicated HD channel, versus last year when games were just assigned to a random HD station, and taken off as soon as the game ended. Fantastic….

    • SlowRoller86 says:

I have comcast in CT and just checked my TV and no SNY in HD.
if in CT what channel #?

      • saltzy007 says:

        For me HD’s are 201-235(ish)…

SNY HD is(trying to remember here, have only watched once so far)…I believe 189….

You should call them and ask wassup?

      • saltzy007 says:

Im in NJ though. Dont see why that would make a difference. Same network, no?

        • egnirc says:

My Comcast/Patriot Media has it on channel 188.

        • SlowRoller86 says:

I just spoke to Comcast and they have added SNY in HD for the Norwich area of CT, which for those who dont know the geography, is at least 60 miles further away from NY than New Haven.

Norwich is closer to Boston than Queens by a long shot.

when I asked a svc rep when they would add it, I was told there were no plans. I asked to speak with a supervisor, who told me privately that he did not think they would add it NEXT YEAR because they are so far apart on negotiations that they are not even discussing bringing it to Lower CT.

I told him that I wanted someone with more information and they put me on to another Joker who told me that it was not being added because Time Warner has a stake in that channel and they are a competitor. I told him that it was already being broadcast on Comcast in No Jersey and CT, and he told me that was misinformed, so i emailed him one of their lineups showing it.

SNY is unwatchable on regular TV, so here comes the dish

  6. vitto79 says:

Going to be interesting to see if Tatis can comeback and produce in the majors

    As for starting lineup……….kinda

I look at today as more of a battle between Pelfrey vs Duque for the 5th spot aaaaand Tatis vs Clark…………

Hopefully Clark excepts the minor league option if he goes down for Tatis……….I know Tatis still has options

    • Nate W. says:

probably connected with SNY’s decision to broadcast every game in HD.

why do ESPN and MSG insist on broadcasting 24/7 in HD? Does anyone really care if NFL live is in HD?

      • saltzy007 says:

Wait…are you complaining that they are broadcasting in the highest possible format? You have to explain yourself…

Besides, they use that ESPN border on the sides for non-HD stuff…

        • Nate W. says:

Its just that it makes no difference for a majority of their programming, so its a little silly imo.

Since I dont have HD myself it really doesnt matter one way or the other, I just dont see the point.

        • mackey_sassers_arm says:

i think it’s awesome… watching anything in HD is a step in the right direction as far as I am concerned.

        • saltzy007 says:

I want the best possible product at all times. But again, I’m an audiophile, so I’m biased. To be honest, I really dont get people that say “I cant see the difference”, or “I dont care one way or another” if broadcasts are in HD or 5.1…I mean 2×3 times as clear and surround sound? Really? Dont care? You can buy a whole setup these days for like $1500…I dont care if its chess, I need HD…….

Its like its not even the same broadcast to me…I have to force myself to watch 3×4 at this point…

  7. FBones24 says:

While I don’t always agree with the analysis, I have to say that I really like the direction SNY is going. I hardly turn on ESPN anymore. SNY gives you sports news and then has some interesting “discussion” shows with some colorful personalities. Obviously some people probably can’t stand this format, however, compared to the programing (or lack thereof) on Yes, I think SNY is doing a great job.

  8. QnsNative718 says:

Maybe I missed something but is it confirmed that Pagan is our starting RF?

    • QnsNative718 says:

      *LF

      • TugTheMan says:

I’d guess Willie and Omar are still deciding on Tatis and Brady. Or are both those guys on the 25? maybe neither of the two have made the 25 yet.

    • Nate W. says:

I think so, Clark is the odd man out according to the beat reporters, but the team hasnt told Clark yet…

so that leaves room for Tatis, Endy, and Pagan in the LF and bench mix.

the Marlins are starting a lefty on opening day so I expect Tatis to be in there. I expect Endy to play more often when Maine and Perez are in there because they allow more flyballs. Pagan will get a share of time, but probably less than half.

      • mackey_sassers_arm says:

Santana is also a fly ball pitcher.

Endy should play every day. Is is superior defensively to everyone else on the team and hitts better against lefties than righties.

        • Nate W. says:

If Endy gets on a tear with the bat then he will play most of the time until Alou gets back. If he’s his typical .250 self then no…

I think Tatis comes closest to giving them any RBI production in LF, so he’ll get chances. But I expect mixing and matching with all three of them.

        • MetLifer says:

Endy should not play everyday! In about 2 weeks you’ll be booing him. He’s great as a 4th outfielder and late defensive replacement but that’s about it. Problem is he hits like a middle infielder… He does not hit for power like a corner outfielder should.

  9. SheaGoodbye says:

i know that theres a partnership with SNY on metsblog now, but can we try to limit the amount of times we have to listen to/look at carlin?

  10. bigdan says:

chirs carlin is a fat whiner.

  11. santito says:

Americans always say “mano y mano”…. In your article you wrote “mono y mono” that means “Monkey and Monkey”.
The correct phrase that means a confrontation between two people alone is “mano a mano” not using “y” using “a”.

    Regards,

    PD: Sorry for my english.

  12. metsin080910 says:

Here comes Dookie. Lets the audition begins.

  13. Nate W. says:

Reyes doubles off the warning track
Castillo bunted Jose over to third
Wright groundout to SS plates a run
Beltran Walks (one on, two out)
Wild pitch brings Beltran to second
    Delgado K’s

Middle of the first, Duque coming onto pitch

looks like a typical inning for both the Mets and Orioles…

    • sincekindergarten says:

Thank you, Nate! I’ve really abused the Net here at work this month, so I can’t do the updates . . .

  14. ravi3 says:

Double for Reyes, who is driven in by Wright…Mets up 1-0

I feel like I should have a macro for that phrase

  15. letz_go_mets08 says:

1, 2, 3 for El Duque, mostly strikes too

  16. Mister Koo says:

    What’s the velocity at?

    • letz_go_mets08 says:

don’t know, listening to orioles announcers on XM, they say it’s not fast though, big surprise, i was curious too……. throwing a lot of breaking stuff

  17. Nate W. says:

    bot 1st:

“1-2-3 inning. He threw around 12-13 pitches if that. Induced two grounders and a pop-up that Mora was off-balanced on. Sounded good. I have no idea of the velocity, but he got Roberts, Mora and Markakis out so that’s three nice players to get.”

  18. vitto79 says:

So IF Duque goes 5 strong does that mean we assume he still gets the spot?……………I think most of us feel that he will be on the DL but he is pitching sooooooo I think he still gets it WITH Sosa ready to come in if he blows…………..also I think Stokes gets the final spot in place of the DL’d Sanchez……………..Smith would be better served as the closer at AAA for a bit

Oh and Matt Murton for Scho still makes alot of sense if the Mets eat some salary

  19. letz_go_mets08 says:

anybody else wondering why stokes is getting such strong consideration? he sucked last year and hasn’t exactly impressed this spring

    • Nate W. says:

his ability to pitch longer outings is probably his only good quality.

If no one steps up for the 5th spot they will need a regular mop up guy every fifth game, but other than that I dont really know what he provides.

I think they will go with Duque or Pelfrey even if they are both just ok today, and Sosa will be the long man forcing Stokes to be waived..

      • letz_go_mets08 says:

i think sosa is a much better long man option and spot starter

        • Nate W. says:

          agreed.

without Dauner they may look at Sosa as a short man, but I think he can serve both purposes.

  20. Nate W. says:

    top 2nd:

Church hits a deep flybal to the warning track that was dropped. It’s called an error, but Church is definitely driving the ball lately.

  21. letz_go_mets08 says:

great reyes got beaned and isn’t getting up

  22. metsin080910 says:

Church reaches on an error, Scott dropped the ball on the warning track. Church on second. Tatis flies to right on the first pitch. 24. Nate W. says:

check the main page, Duque is back to using his high knee lift delivery according to witnesses.

    • letz_go_mets08 says:

really? sweet, i was hoping RP was going to have him go back to that……. i’d rather have an effect duque pitch 20 times on and off the DL than a crappy duque ptich 30 games

      • Nate W. says:

yea, looks like we could be in for a routine of 3-4 starts, DL time for rest, few more starts, more DL time, etc maybe a shot or two for faster returns.

Who knows how many starts he’ll make but I would sign up for 20 right now.

    • Another Matt says:

Maybe Pedro gave him the number of his shoemaker

  25. jbinva says:

MLB Gameday is back after being down a few days. New look, pretty nice. You won’t find it linked from the front page, but just go to mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday.

  26. metsin080910 says:

Wright steps in takes a breaking ball down and away, 1-0. Wright lines one into right for a single. Beltran steps in grounds into double play. 2 away. Delgado comes up to the plate and takes a fastball strike, 0-1. Delgado takes down and in, 1-1. Breaking ball in the dirt, 2-1. 2-1 pitch is fouled off, 2-2. Carlos takes upstairs, full count. The 3-2 pitch is a breaking ball high, ball 4. Church comes up to bat, takes strike, 0-1 Fastabll misses, 1-1. Another one misses, 2-1. Church swings and misses, the bat flies into the stands and hits a Orioles fan 5 rows deep into the stands. Ouch. The count is 2-2. Church grounds out to second but his bat leaves his hands again and flew into the stands again, this time avoiding contact with a fan. 3 outs.

  27. backinbusiness says:

2 bats in the stands by church. dangerous!

  28. DaWrightStuff says:

Duque gave up 3 hits and counting??? in the 3rd

  29. nym91 says:

    Duque looking good through 3.

  30. metsin080910 says:

Luke Scott is up, slow breaking ball upstairs 1-0. Fastball inside, 2-0. Another pitch inside, 3-0. Hit hard into right, base hit. Adam Jones steps in wit one on. Breaking ball lined down the left field line for a double, runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs. El Duque in a bit of trouble. First pitch is a high strike called, 0-1. Fastball misses inside, 1-1. Popped foul, 1-2. Looped towards shorts, Reyes catches it and quickly throws to second after Jones thought Reyes wouldn’t catch it, double play, 2 away. Brian Roberts takes a breaking ball for a strike, 0-1. Brian hits one foul, 0-2. The 0-2 pitch is inside, 1-2. Roberts lines it down the left field line, Huff scores, Roberts into second. Orioles tie it at 1. Mora steps in, breaking ball down, 1-0. The delivery is high, 2-0. El Duque’s pitch is on the inside corner for a strike, 2-1. The 2-1 is outside, 3-1. El Duque is having trouble locating his breaking ball. Fastball up and in, ball 4. 2 on 2 out, 1-0 pitch is inside, 2-0. The 2-0 pitch is a breaking ball for a called strike, 2-1. The 2-1 is fouled off, 2-2. El Duque is really taking his time between pitches. Checks Roberts at 2nd, now delivers to the plate, fouled off, still 2-2. Schneider is out to talk to Orlando after that foul ball was hit a mile. The 2-2 is fouled off again. Breaking ball is low, full count. 3-2 pitch is lifted to Center for out number 3. Thank God.

  31. metsin080910 says:

    1-1 tie game.

  32. Nate W. says:

El Duque gave up a single, then a double, but then Fahey LINED into a double play. Roberts doubles in a run. Mora flies out.

    1-1 after 3

  33. metsin080910 says:

    top 4

Tatis leads off and take a strike, 0-1. Grounds it out towards short, 1 away. Schneider is up now and takes a strike at the knees, 0-1. High and away, 1-1. the 1-1 is grounded out to second, 2 quick outs. Here’s Brady Clark. Takes a fastball outside 1-0. Clark grounds out to third, a very quick inning from the Mets.

    Middle 4
    Mets 1 Baltimore 1.

    • Nate W. says:

thats not the way to help your pitcher who just threw a ton of pitches. Lets see what Duque has left in the tank…

  34. metsin080910 says:

Im going to take a break from the play-by-play and go make some lunch. Take it away Nate.

    • Nate W. says:

I’ll see what I can get. I think the NYFS guys are reading you today instead of updating themselves…

Thanks for the play by play!

  35. shea_guevara says:

Bottom 4: El Duque just had a 1-2-3 inning on a K to Kevin Millar, flyout by Aubrey Huff, and line drive snagged by David Wright.

    • Nate W. says:

nice bounce back inning. He needed a quick one.

Something tells me the Orioles are first pitch swinging. They play in DC tomorrow so its thier last day in ST too…

  36. Nate W. says:

the Braves have claimed Ruben Gotay – Adam Rubin

  37. metsin080910 says:

    Top 5

Reyes lines first pitch for a single. Castillo takes inside, 1-0. Luis takes a fastball for a called strike, 1-1. Now takes a little low, 2-1. Reyes runs, Castillo takes a ball, 3-1, Reyes is safe at second. The 3-1 to Castillo misses ball 4. Runners on 1st and 2nd for David Wright, 0 outs. Wright takes a fastball up and in, 1-0. Cabrera bluffs a throw to second. Reyes runs, pitch inside, 2-0, Reyes is safe at third uncontested. The 2-0 pitch is a fastball in on the hands, 3-0 now. Orioles begin to warm up a pitcher in the pen’. Wright gets the green light on 3-0 and fouls it off, 3-1. Swing and a miss, full count. The 3-2 pitch to Wright misses, ball 4, bases loaded for Carlos Beltran, 0 outs. Carlos takes a strike on the inside corner, 0-1. The 0-1 misses outside, 1-1. Beltran takes up and away, 2-1. He checks his swing on a high fastball, ball 1. Swing and a miss, 1-1. The 1-1 is a fastball at the hands, ball 2. Carlos pops it into left center, the ball is dropped by Scott for the second time, Reyes scores, Castillo is out on a force to third. 2 away. Runners on 1st and second for Church, he takes ball one. 1-0. Now a fastball catches the corner, 1-1. Fastball inside, 2-1. Swing and a foul off to right. 2-2 to Church. The 2-2 is bounced towards first who underhands it to Cabrera, side retired.

    Middle 5
    Mets 2 Baltimore 1.

  38. cgroovin says:

not sound whatever, but chris carlin looks absolutely disgusting. like he sweats vegetable oil or something. there is a reason for radio, and its for guys that look like him.

plus the fact that he really doesnt make any sense when he blubbers on and on.

    • Nate W. says:

this format is better for him. Giving him three hours on radio leads to a lot more time for nonsensicle babble.

  39. Nate W. says:

I’m loving the Mets chances to score 1 run any time Reyes leads off an inning. The rest of the lineup doesnt look like it will contribute much. I see a lot of big inning and rally killers in the lower middle…

  40. letz_go_mets08 says:

Not that I’m convinced El Duque should be given the #5 starter despite his well-pitched game today, but is there anything Pelfrey is going to be able to do in these last four innings to win the job? it’s a lose-lose situation for him……… especially if he gets lit up, whatever confidence he has left is gone

    • Another Matt says:

Nope. The FO already made it clear the job was Duque’s to lose. Big Pelf could strike out the last 12 batters on 36 pitches and Duque would still be 5th starter.

      • letz_go_mets08 says:

i agree with that……..i just think it could be bad for pelfrey if he knows he’s not going to make the rotation and takes the mound

        • Another Matt says:

Quotes from Pelfrey this spring suggest that he knows the situation, and accepts that the organization prefers Duque to him.

It’s good that he’s not all bent out of shape about not making the team, but I’d prefer it if he showed more determination to force his way onto the roster. It’s not like the FO have been 100% wedded to the idea of Duque being 5th starter throughout the whole of this spring.

  41. Another Matt says:

    1-2-3 bottom 5.

Ladies and gentlemen, a round of applause for the Mets 5th starter – Orlando ‘El Duque’ Hernandez.

    He’s dealing today.

  42. metsin080910 says:

    Bottom 5

Luke Scott is up, takes strike one at the knees, 0-1. Scott hits the 0-1 deep but foul, 0-2. Pelfrey begins to warm up in the pen’. The breaking ball is bounced to first, Delgado throws to El Duque, 1 away. The breaking ball misses to Adam Jones, 1-0. The 1-0 pitch is swung on and fouled away, 1-1. Jones swings and pulls it foul again, 1-2 now. The 1-2 pitch is a slow curve swung on and missed strike 3, 2 away. Breaking ball low to Fayhey, 1-0. The 1-0 catches the corner 1-1. Now he takes inside, 2-1. Ground ball hit to Delgado who takes it to the bag himself. 7 straight retired by El Duque. His day should be over with Pelfrey warming up in the bullpen. This was a very strong outing for Hernandez, Mets’ fans should be happy.

    End 5
    Mets 2 Baltimore 1

    • Nate W. says:

four good innings out of five and he limited the damage in his bad inning. However the compelete lack of swing and misses by a rather bad Orioles line up worries me.

Against the Braves I would see something like:

      3 2/3, 5 runs, 8 hits, 1 BB, 1 K, ~80 pitches with lots of foul balls.

      • Another Matt says:

He did get 2 swinging Ks, so you might be a little overconcerned.

My main worry remains control – he was working from behind a lot today. That’s what the better hitting lineups will punish. Only one walk though, so it could’ve been worse.

But he always works from behind. I dont think his stuff is good enough to get away with it anymore. Lots of decent pitches being fouled off that would otherwise be his out pitches.

I just learned that they gave Delgado an rbi for the ball that was dropped by Scott.

Jose Reyes leads off and takes a strike, 0-1. Now takes low 1-1. The 1-1 catches the corner 1-2. Reyes shoots one right back to the pitcher. 1 away. Nice play by the pitcher.

Castillo up. He takes a breaking ball low, 1-0.

The play-by-play people are interviewing who I think is the GM of Baltimore and are not updating the game.

    Castillo was retired.

    Wright and Beltran walked.

Delgado lines one into right, Machado, who pinch ran for Wright scores. 3-1 Mets.

Ryan Church is up with runners on 1st and 2nd. Church takes 2 straight balls, 2-0. Church grounds out on a close play. Inning over.

thanks for the breaks, much easier to read this way. :)

The play to Scott was a 7-4 force out, so he gets an RBI. weird play, weird scoring, but correct…

    • One Day This Team Will Kill Me says:

Delgado or Marlon get that hit? The box score says it was Marlon. Also, would the dropped fly ball have scored the run from third if caught? If so he should definitely have gotten that RBI. Thanks for all the updates

    Delgado leading the offense, yes!

    ;)

  50. metfaninla says:

    it was marlon anderson.

the baltimore announcers were too busy talking to trembley to pay attention.

  56. One Day This Team Will Kill Me says:

Is Schneider alright? It seems pretty dumb to take an at-bat away against major league pitching. I know its spring training but this guy has faced no real competition.

    • metsin080910 says:

Hopefully they are just trying to be cautious and not get him hurt before opening day.

      • One Day This Team Will Kill Me says:

I got that, but take him out in the next inning, he could use any at-bats he can get

        • Another Matt says:

Running to first is probably a bigger injury risk than fielding for Schneider right now.

  60. Nate W. says:

btw, debates about Gotay and Register are raging all over the blog. Its funny how those two guys are getting more attention than who the 5th starter will be, which seems to be at least 10 times more important than who the 24th and 25th guys on the team are…

Pelfrey delivers inside ball 1. The 1-0 is low ball 2. The 2-0 pitch is a broken bat pop up to third, the shortstop makes the catch, 2 away. Who is number 94? Whoever he is is playing Shortstop.

Luis Hernandez comes up and takes strike 1. The 0-1 pitch is a ball up and away, 1-1. The 1-1 is a fastball inside, 2-1. Now a throw to first, Payton is back standing. Another throw forces Payton to dive back. The 2-1 pitch is fouled away as the runner goes. 2-2 count, Payton back to first. The 2-2 is lined into right a base-hit as the runner was running. Payton is at third. Base-hit would win it for the O’s.

Torres is up with runners on the corners. He fouls the first pitch back, 0-1. A looper falls behind third in fair territory. Base-hit, Game over. Pelfrey blows it.

    Final Score
    Mets 3 Baltimore 4

  64. Nate W. says:

Pelfrey cant seem to handle the 9th inning.

He couldnt do it the other day under similar cercumstances, and today he cant get the last out. That sould end and discussion about making him a late inning reliever.

    • Another Matt says:

Noone pitches the 9th as their 4th inning of work, so not too much conclusion should be drawn from Pelfrey’s 9th innings this spring.

Not being willing&able to throw strikes and manage the count is why Pelfrey is no late-inning reliever… or any kind of major-leaguer right now. He’s far too passive to make it as a late-inning guy.

  65. metsin080910 says:

    Pelfrey, good luck in NO.

  66. bvaz says:

at least they both didn’t suck today.

at some point, the Mets will need Pelfrey this year. I hope he can get his work in and figure it out in NO.

  67. metfaninla says:

no, pelfrey clearly does not possess the makeup to be a late inning reliever (at least not yet)…or for that matter a high end starter.

as for him starting the year in aaa…it is definitely for the best.

he needs to go down there and be told to worry more about improving his approach and his secondary pitches, and less about results (an impossibility if he was the 5th starter).

it would also probably be for the best if he didn’t even see the big leagues before the all-star break, that is probably unlikely as he’s most likely going to be needed when injuries arise.

to that end, i’m sure the mets will still hold off on making the final call on duque and the 5th starter until they see what effect, if any, returning to the high leg kick has on him come tomorrow.

though today’s results are certainly promising for el duque (who cares what the radar gun reads…if he can get on the mound every 5th day and give you 5-6 innings and give up no more than 3-4 runs).

  68. metsin080910 says:

I’m impressed with El Duque’s outing today. Hopefully he feels good tomorrow.
