A coach’s managerial record is a poor gauge of how good they are at their job, and even you admitted that.

Then you listed two young players who debuted under Dusty, neither of which support your argument that he’s a good manager.

You also provided a quote which did nothing but further prove how inept his brain is when it comes to the game of baseball.

So, I’m sorry, you did provide facts. Just very poor ones, which did nothing to further your position that Dusty is a good manager. So congrats.

you were able to provide 2 players from dusty’s years of managing. good job. we’ll just forget that he ruined prior’s arm so that he’s reduced to signing 1 year contracts now. i’m blown away by your facts. baker is a terrible manager, and small ball is a terrible way to win baseball games. if you don’t believe me, try reading the numerous websites that have broken down the problems with small ball. THT, baseball prospectus, etc. but those are all nerdy nerd sites written by people who never played, right?

yeah. i’m the only one who provided any facts: baker’s managerial record, full quotes with explanation, two young pitchers (22) with first full-time seasons under baker along with providing a manager who every mets fan would love to have and who makes a difference.

Zen, you call people out for not using facts, yet I have yet to see you use any. You also claim people are resorting to “name-calling,” and then insist that others don’t know how to read.

Everyone that is talking about whether or not Matt was being objective or not is failing to look at anything there besides the standings. Did anyone notice that he picked Mark Teixeira for NL MVP!? He’s a diehard met fan and as he said when he signed with SNY he isn’t changing his ways. In fact, I respect his consistency, I hope he goes on Baseball Tonight and says the same thing.
