amLinks: Blame, Fool, Moderation and Lenny
By Matthew Cerrone - Apr 2, 2008 7:35 am

In a post to Mets Today, Joe Janish believes that he is to blame for Pedro Martinez’s hamstring injury.

At the Brooklyn Met Fan, Adam hopes that Martinez’s injury was just an April Fools joke, adding, “Please tell me that was El Duque out there and not Pedro.”

Speaking of April Fools, apparently Mets Walk-offs is still Mets Walk-offs, not Mets Wall-offs, which was a joke.

and which i fell for…seriously, what is the matter with me…pay attention, dude…unreal

MetsGrrl is preaching moderation, saying, “This is the year I learn to take it one game at a time.”

Lastly, FoxSports.com’s Screwballs compares the bad-boy element on the 1986 Mets and the 1993 Phillies, both of whom featured Lenny Dykstra, who will soon release the first edition of his new magazine: The Player’s Club.

I don’t care if it was the second game of the season or the second to last game of the season….
read my lips; you can’t lose to a team like the Marlins in a division with 2 equally talented teams ; Braves and Phils.
This does not bode well for the Amazin’s to waste an effort like last evening.
A game like this is not acceptable!
Lighting a candle for Pedro; he worked so very hard…
thank you and have a nice day

I’m reading your lips, and it appears that you’re saying that the Mets had to go 18-0 against Florida this year. Season over, i guess. It was fun while it lasted.

I know! A team can never lose a 1 run game to an inferior team….ever. Like when the Red Sox lost to the Devil Rays last September 5-4………..that was a sign they were going nowhere…

    oh wait….
