If you replace those three with three guys each 8 years younger all it does is offset everyone else adding 1 year. If Milledge does well then its good for the Nats and him. If Schneider and Church help the Mets to the World Series this year and beyond then it was good for the Mets. It was known at the end of last season that the Mets needed a LH bat in RF and a defensive catcher. They got both for one potentially good player. The only reason they are LH heavy right now is because Schneider bats lefty, but thats good in a way because it gives Castro the opportunity to play more.
