How sad is it when a post about the Mets future (this one) has just 8 replies while a post about the past (Bannister) gets over 200?

I cant wait to see how the Bingy squad does this year, they look loaded.

More importantly to the future of the franchise I’m very interested in the St. Lucie club and all of the pitchers who may jump into prospect status if they have a quality year.

Now, all we need is the Mets to move the Zephyrs to Syracuse. It will make traveling easier (AA, AAA & MLB clubs all in NY) for recuperating players and rising prospects

I am from Binghamton. I went to there first game at NYSEG. I am so glad they are staying. Have fun JKlein.

F Martinez is going to excel at AA and learn to spray the ball to all fields in the big park. Also, in my opinion Binghamton attracts alot of scouts, maybe they are letting baseball know how good he is if we need pitching at the break.

I’ve also heard that the Mets may leave some Top Prospects in AA because of the proximety of Binghamton to NY because
A) its a lots closer than New Orleans and
B) since New Orleans is in the PCL it maybe harder to get some back east. So if he was to get called up for some reason or another, FMart could get here alot sooner from Binghamton or another location in the Eastern League

AA is less pressure for right now. If and when he does well he will get promoted to AAA and have even more confidence.

If he went to AAA right away and got off to a bad start it might mess with his confidence
