Nice,

Bringing the civil war into baseball game. An Army burns cities leaves thousands of civilians homeless and you believe this is a good thing. There are lots of gov'ts around the world lookng for guys like you.

Great threads all day Darkstar. Enough to make a great big Mets Banner. Stated everything I was thinking reading your input. Seriously, it's the fourth game of the year, everybody needs to calm down. Just incredible. They've played 4 games with 2 having absolutely attrocious calls by the Umps (Beltrans HR in FLA, today's fiasco) and they've kept fighting. I also love Willie was great early in the game for getting the call reversed and late in the game he was getting run out of town for not taking Sosa out. Yeah, he should have taken him out but really after that call early in the game and Show giving it back did anybody really think this was going to be our day. Atlanta + Fox = Cox; 'Nough said. Shake it off and let's get'em tomorrow.

All we have to wait for is for Chipper to go down for 3 weeks like he does every year and that will be that. Add 2 Old Starters and Hampton already gone I just can't get that worked up about Atlanta this early in the year regardless of how they've tortured us in the past. I'll wait to see how there problems develop vs. ours (Pedro.....) and go from there. Again, it's the 4th game of the year.

One reason he also signed Castillo is he's buds with Johan and he helped sell Santana behind the scenes on NY. For that alone he was worth it.

My point is, that a core of good young players sych as those would cost the mets $10MM maybe. Thats leaves them with $110MM to buy another 40 games, I think thats reasonable.

No need to worry. There's still 158 games left. A good pitching performance will make this loss go away like when Ollie shut down the marlins

I just get quiet when everyone starts bashing everything.

I agree Maine was overthrowing and way too many fastballs. It wasn't his day. It happens.

What are the positives?
Church continuess to impress
Pagan is really contributing well and coming through!
Beltran is starting to hit the ball HARD. His outs today were even hard hit balls.
Delgado is starting to look a little better
Smith pitched well

McCarver gets on my nerves as well. It never ceases to amaze me that he keeps his job. I guess being Palmer's catcher has given him a long term pass.

I'm looking forward to Santana sitting them down tomorrow!
