EXACTLY!! just like Vin Diesel says in “The Fast and the Furious”, “it’s not a matter of you winning by an inch or a mile. A win is a win” No matter how you slice it teams are bound to have bad games, and it’s not as if the winning team comes off the field bummed out say, “man, if they didn’t boot 4 balls we never would of won.”?? they put the bats to the balls last night and looked decent doing it. However, that many men left on base in an errorless game would not be acceptable

In one way the two are comparable, but they really aren’t. If last night’s game was clsoer and the Phillies had actually put some offensive numbers on the board, then it would be a lot more similar to the end of last season.

Because, as you know, the Phillies played well down the stretch while the Mets were falling.

Last night, the Phillies didn’t deserve to win on either side of the game.

Are all Mets fans bi-polar? After the game on Tuesday i would have thought the season was over, but there’s that cockiness again, back with saying the mets handed the division to the Phillies and the Phillies can’t beat the Mets without the Mets making mistakes. How many mistakes need to be made for the Mets to get beaten 9 straight times by the Phillies?

Isn’t baseball basically taking advantage of your opponents mistakes most of the time? A pitcher makes a bad pitch, a player makes a crucial error that turns into a rally, etc. Every once in a while you get a great player that can change the course of a game on his own, buta lot of the time it is just waiting for a team to make th first mistake.

Often that can be running the starting pitcher out to the mound to start the game.
