Links: Good Win, Hug, Joker and Knicks
By Matthew Cerrone - Apr 10, 2008 7:26 am

In a post to Always Amazin, Matt Artus writes what most fans are likely feeling today, which is, “Good win, now do it again.”

The Brooklyn Met Fan recalls a moment, which was captured during last night’s broadcast on SNY, in which Johan Santana walked across the dugout to give Mike Pelfrey a hug.

Speaking of SNY, It’s Mets for Me wonders what is going on with Keith Henandez’s recent wardrobe choices, comparing him to the Joker from Batman.

Lastly, in the New York Sun, Tim Marchman explains why the San Francisco Giants are baseball’s version of the Knicks.

…honestly, i tried reading tim’s column, but was quickly distracted by the girl who looks like Holly Valance in the ad on the page’s right…sorry, tim

Finally the Knicks have a shot at a high lottery pick that they can keep, and what do they do? Go on a winning streak. Even when they are supposed to lose, they screw it up.

I’ve been too caught up in the Mets and Rangers lately to care, but yeah wth is up with this winning streak? They had just lost to Memphis and other teams that had less losses than them and looked poised to move into second worst record. Does Isiah think he is coaching for his job? ha!

When I saw Keith’s outfit last night I was pretty amused. What’s up with his clothes AND hair? IMFM is right. He’s looking pretty Jokerish these days. Maybe being this is the last year at Shea, he’s channeling LIndsey Nelson in honor of him.

Well I thought with the candy he usually has in front of him, all he needed was the top hat and he was more like Willy Wonka.

I think Keith has been spending too much time around Clyde Fraser… or not enough.

Santana’s hug probably meant a lot to Big Pelf. As BMF mentioned, when arguably the best pitcher in the game today shows you some love like that, it’s probably well-deserved. It should also reinforce, “Hey–this is what I’ve got to do to win.”

Yeah, and did you notice when Johan hugged Pelf, Jon Maine sitting next to Plef said something which made Johan give him some “love” too. Just one big happy family. Love it, love it.

As soon as Keith stops eating on the air every five seconds he should really give Gene Wilder a call and return that original Willy Wonka outfit he borrowed for last night’s game. He’s hilarious.
