The best part of his game yesterday is his groundball to fly-out ratio which is 11-2 .... He even had 3Ks.... I'll take that every start...

trust me dude, going into last night's game i just shook my head and said i'll be thrilled if he gives up 3 runs in 5 innings and i'm one of his biggest supporters!
however, he looked great last night. he should have gone one extra inning and given up one less run. also, I'm not sure how much this matters but he did get 12 days between starts so couldn't he have pitched one extra inning even at being at 100 pitches?

Not only that, but the team did have a considerable lead. No reason not to pull him.

In total agreement with you there Mikey. A little rough 2nd inning, but that 4th did him in, or should I say the bottom of the third did him in,lol. Sitting on the bench for that long third inning cooled him down, lost him his sharpness. 27 pitches for 3 batters kind of shows that, especially when he was pretty much cruising before that.

The difference that I noticed was his confidence which in turn reflected in his aggresiveness. Pelf's case is in the head cause he was blessed with everything else.

I have been loudly asserting that Pelfrey is no good. That he is a one pitch pitcher with no business in the big leagues. Last night he looked good. I hope he is proving me wrong.

I post this because I think it is important to be accountable.

Okay Pelf, do it again, and make me look foolish.

At what point does Willie consult the man catching the pitcher? Schneider was brought here in part because of his ability to manage the game. If he is saying that the pitcher has more to give, why not trust his instincts? He is catching so he can gauge velocity, movement, etc. Peterson is all about stats and barometrics (sp?) Willis is all about his "gut" Schneider is in a much better position to make his point.
