The loss of the Polo Grounds was sad in that it was a visible example of the misguided philosophy of city planning at the time. Tear down everything that's old and replace it with superblock housing projects. We can all see how well that worked out.

Nah, doesn't look like it.....RF, CF, and LF

But if you thought he had, that doesn't make it that bad of a suggestion. And I didn't mean to jump on it like I did - just a habit from most people posting on the blog...

Can't even begin to describe what a bad idea that would be........

You just can't take people and throw them at 1st base and assume they would be able to hold their own there. (Cough...Piazza....Cough) Something as simple as the scoop up and throw home Delgado made either last night or the night before is something I see Alou butchering. The error on opening day aside....Delgado does a decent job fielding his position, scooping up errant throws....and saving D-Wright from how many errors.

I agree that Pagan will go to the bench - It is a VERY nice problem to have and one that shouldn't be worried about as Pagan will get plenty of playing time resting Alou and subbing in for Church against the tougher lefties (Church is doing a fine job vs lefties in general, IMO). Chances are, Alou will go down again in no time and Pagan can be inserted right back in LF.
