On this off-day, Metstradamus presents Shea Stadium: The Board Game.
…outstanding work, metsra…well done…
The Brooklyn Met Fan wonders if the recent booing is killing any home-field advantage that the Mets may have at home.
Lastly, at Bugs & Cranks, Brad Bartone recalls the baked-potato-and-mustard, Sid Fernandez diet, which Ron Darling recently talked about during a broadcast on SNY.

As I was telling another fan the other day who supported the behavior, the booing seems to have gotten worse in the last 8 years or so. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s totally negating a home field advantage. Last year the Mets were the only team in MLB to have a better record on the road than at home. And this booing could be a big reason.
And I fear it won’t get any better. The fans are just too demanding and too disrespectful. It’s been an ugly trend.
didn’t have any home-field advantage last year…. what makes this year so different
The booing is bad enough, but I was there on Saturday for Santana’s first home start, and I was seriously disappointed at how few fans were at the game. They announced an attendance of 56,000+, but there is NO way that many were in the stadium. I understand that they announce paid attendance and not the turnstiles, but that’s beside the point. WHERE ARE THE FANS!?! It was a beautiful day…Santana’s first home start…early in the season, when many of us are still flying high with expectations and hope…and there were thousands of empty seats. It was a sad display.
The Shea Stadium board game is hysterical. Excellent job by Metstradamus.
i gotta try that baked potato and mustard..not a bad idea
probably tastes like a knish
The booing is completely out of hand! I understand we are PO’ed, but COME ON! Let the guys play and we’ll be ok. With this booing garbage, every game they play will be as visitors, in or out of NYC. Sad, just sad.
