Zakarin: Minors Recap 4/13

Note: Double A Binghamton was snowed out in Erie.

New Orleans (AAA): 7-5 win over Round Rock

LHP Adam Bostick allowed three earned runs on four hits and four walks in five innings pitched. LHP Willie Collazo tossed a scoreless 10th inning to pick up the win.

1B Michel Abreu was 3-for-5 with a double and a walk, 2B Argenis Reyes was 1-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. OF Christopher Aguila reached base all six times he stepped to the plate, going 3-for-3 with three walks and four runs scored.

St. Lucie (A+): 6-2 win over Jupiter

RHP Tim Stronach tossed five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and walking none. He struck out six.

1B Lucas Duda now has seven hits in his last twelve at bats after a 2-for-4 night. SS Ruben Tejada was also 2-for-4, with a run scored and two driven in, and OF Brahiam Maldonado had two hits in four at bats, as well.

Savannah (A-): 11-7 win over Columbia

LHP Angel Calero was hit hard, allowing six runs, five earned, on eight hits in five innings. He struck out five. RHP Edgar Ramirez got the late win after tossing two scoreless frames.

Six hitters in the Sand Gnats’ order recorded at least two hits apiece, including two knocks for the top four in the lineup. SS Matthew Bouchard was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs scored and two RBI; 3B Richie Lucas was 2-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored and three RBI; 1B Jose Jimenez blasted two homers to drive in five RBI in his 2-for-5 night; OF Raul Reyes was 2-for-5 with two doubles; and further down, toolsy OF Daniel Stegall was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
