It is a tough decision as who to send down now and when Wise comes back. I think it will be important for Willie and management to get the best out of the young arms of Muniz and Smith. Use up their trips to AAA to keep each other fresh. We saw what happen to Smith last season and already he has been in 6 games this season.
That is not a knock on Willie, hopefully our starters can finish the 6th and 7th innings sometimes.

As for Sosa he has pitched in 7 of our 11 games and given up runs in only 2 of them. The only problem is both times he game up multiple runs.

Funny but Sosa has came up big for us in some spots this season. I actually think he is just being over used which is something that will stop once Sanchez is back. Right now Sosa is the first mop up man/8th inning man. That's not an easy role.

I think Joe Smith has been good too. In a perfect world it'd be Schoeneweis who got sent down. I agree about Muniz, he pitched pretty well last year too, in his limited appearances.

Doesn't Muniz have a 0 ERA and a .5 WHIP so far? I thought he looked good last year too. The only other option however is Joe Smith, who I also think is pretty good. Given that, even if Sanchez pitches well, does he really make this bullpen better? Or is this bullpen already pretty good, especially once Heilman settles down, as he's shown he's likely to do.

I know that roster-jugging is tough and I haven't thought this all the way through, but it sure seems as shaky as our bullpen has been that it might not be the smartest move to send down Muniz, who has so far been terrific.

Am I the only one who likes Carlos Muniz? He's done well so far. I'd rather see Joe Smith sent down... he's too erratic and doesn't seem to have control of his pitches yet.
