You do want someone that will actually catch the ball on occasion (in addition to hitting) ANd right now, I would be surpirsed if Delgado climbed back to .245. Might be beyond him at this point. The 15 might happen if he gets enough garbage time BP fastballs, and the 70 will come from ABs, assuming he stays healthy. At this point, best case scenerio might be 2 more weeks of Delgado doing what he can but the Mets still win, Carp continues to mash, then CD needs a trip to the DL and they call up Carp to fill in. Of course, then you hope for Carp to grab the opportunity and Delgado to just pull a Marbury and go away! I honestly think that, right now, Carp could give the same production, at about 3% of the cost. Oh, and the best thing about a mid season call up?
