Can we please please please send down Clark and call up Tatis? Pretty please?
the thing is tatis has hit well in the minors before and it doesnt translate to the majors. not to mention he wouldnt get a lot of at bats, which would probably hurt him even more. when you are basing any call ups of part timers like tatis and clark, you have to look at more than just their stat lines. in reality, its not a smart thing to even throw clark under the bus right now and treat him as worthless so early on. if you do, then you should treat marlon the same way, he has done nothin to date as well. this type of mentality would have led to valentin bein outed 2 years ago before he became so valuable. keep tatis workin regular until hes needed for more than a few at bats a week.
Yeah, wouldn’t be a horrible idea. Maybe Tatis can spot start at first against lefties?
I’d rather have Tatis on the roster so Easley can spot start at 1B without risking having no backup infielders that day.
The St. Lucie pitching staff has been so bad so far its a bit worrysome. They have guys who were great last year, solid last year, and some guys who are repeating the same level. No real bright spot at all.
and Owen is getting lit up so far today..
Looking at the game log, Owen wasn’t necessarily terrible. He got burned by a few fly balls falling in LF which was being patrolled by some kid named Alou.
He faced the minimum in the 2nd, 3rd & 4th after giving up 3 in the 1st, before giving up one in the 5th.
All three runs in the first were driven in on two flyball doubles to Alou.
when I posted that, the first inning had just ended…
Moises Alou is 3 of 3 with a double and an error today for St. Lucie.
The man can hit in his sleep…
Can he field when he’s awake?
Just kidding, I know he’s OK when he gets to a ball.
