I’d be curious to know why he picked the Mets over these other teams. Where the Mets just offering more money?
Um lets see, New York, Pittsburgh or St.Paul ?
I guess what I meant to ask is if the Mets have proactively gone into Europe and done a lot of scouting of players there and if so, did that presense make an impact on this guy beyond money or the allure of NYC?
After Gronauer had turned down offers from the Minnesota Twins and Pittsburgh Pirates the Mets came up with a very attractive package in terms of signing bonus and the opportunity to attend further education on his original job…so it was a package of money and education- but I am sure we don´t talk about a fortune here.
Maybe he wanted a bigger market
He plays baseball. So, Im sure he follows baseball in other countries since Europe isnt a baseball hotbed at all. Logically, he’d follow MLB seeing as its the biggest market, and seemingly everybody aspires to play here….
Perhaps hes a Met fan
Zee peetch vill be a vastball. Don’t shake me off, or ve vill invade your country…isn’t it called zee Dominican? Ok? Jawhol? Goot.
Vastball, schnell!!!
We will drink more becks.
Duh. We have Johan Santana. Who wouldn’t want to catch the best pitcher in baseball?
Das Geht.
The Mets continue to span the globe in search of a catcher. Hopefully this kid is better than Patrick Maat and Francisco Pena. That shouldn’t be too hard.
is he available tonight? i’m tired of cassanova.
