Mets C Brian Schneider, who will not play in tonight’s game, speaking to reporters about his sore right forearm…
“Unfortunately, there is still a lot of swelling. I think I’m gonna have to take another day, as much as I don’t want to. It’s probably the best thing…Mobility of strength is probably the biggest thing right now, trying to do the grip test, it’s just not there. The forearm plays an important part of baseball and it’s still bothering me and there’s a lot of fluid there.”
…the buzz from the team seems to be that schneider will likely get the day off again tomorrow, and start fresh when the team travels to DC for a game on Wednesday night…

You know he doesn’t want to the games in DC
Hey let Paul Cassanova get some AB’s
I don’t mind Cassanova’s hitting that much, but his game-calling really shows you why pitchers talk up Schneider. I don’t like the way he is calling this game right now.
The pitching takes a step back without BS. Cassanova is constantly calling pitches on the outer 3rd of the plate. He is not establishing the whole plate.
well, considering one of the best parts of bs’s game is his ability to throw out runners, why not give him some time off. it would be nice to get some damn runs, though. the bottom of the lineup is awful.
