Edgar Alfonso has been brutal so far for Bingy. He’ll likely replace him in the pen and we’ll see from there.

Collazo and Eddie Camacho dont exactly look like viable replacements for Feliciano or Schoeneweis should they ever be needed.

So do you feel that we are one game over 500 good or bad? Do you think it is a direct reflection on Willie? How about when we play the infield in and can’t turn two then the next guy hits a grand slam? Or how about we are 20 games in and our bullpen is worn out? Matt is right, it is a direct reflection of the standings, We are not playing to our potential and that is a direct reflection on Willie.

after the first series with the marlins, where the mets played well, the poll showed a 75% approval rating.. then it bounced heavily after the next series and it was quickly obvious that it was a bad gauge …

Burgos is very young, and can be very good.

So….this guy is good?? Or has the potential to be?? He must throw upper 90s if the comparison is being made…

I find the comparison hard to believe…but its probably because I still believe Burgos will one day be Armando Benitez…

Did the Mets perform a physical on Castillo before his contract? I am so tired of this (Newsday):

Luis Castillo took one of his medical days when he informed manager Willie Randolph in the morning that his aching right knee needed a break. With Castillo still recovering from offseason surgery on both knees, the plan for the immediate future is to give the second baseman time off on a regular basis.

“He should get better,” Randolph said. “I’m pretty sure he’ll get better. It’s just a matter of time. He’s still making plays.”

Seriously?
