Health: Alou and Castro
By Matthew Cerrone - Apr 24, 2008 5:36 am

Moises Alou and Ramon Castro both played in extended spring training games today in St. Lucie.

However, prior to tonight’s game, Willie Randolph said there is still no official time table for either player’s return.

Once Moises and Ramon come back (along with Pedro), I’m sure these streaky 5-win, 3-loss combinations will turn into 6-7 game winnings streaks followed by 1 or 2 losses…

PS – It’s still hard to believe we have Johan Santana :)

Here we go again…the lack of urgency that characterized 2007 returns.

Why is Alou not back? If he can play in a rehab game, he can play in a big league game. The man can hit in his sleep. even if he needs more days off, how much are we using Brady Clark? We’re not better served bringing back Alou?

Chill, man. Warm weather is better for injuries. Also, in a meaningless game, Alou won’t feel pressure to go full speed (ie. dive, kick it into 5th gear) on muscles that aren’t ready. You want him to rehab, not get reinjured.
