Billy Wagner has not allowed a hit in eight straight innings.
…look, in the final season of Shea Stadium, i think he should get credit for a no-hitter if he makes it one more frame…
…yes, i’m kidding…
…but, it’s just so damn frustrating…
According to Mets Walk-offs, “The Mets have never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter in a regular season game. However, they’ve had “mini” no-hitters. Many of them.”

I want to say John Franco had 27 retired in a row at one point, I thought the same thing then it should count!!
Its crazy to think the Mets may never throw a no-hitter at Shea. I mean with their lineage its unfathomable. Just goes to show how odd the game can be at times.
Weird how ex-Met pitchers throw no-hitters for other clubs (i.e., Ryan, Gooden, Cone).
Seaver, Mike Scott, the list goes on and on. It’s the curse of Nolan Ryan.
more like the curse of Jim Fregosi.
