Last Saturday, SNY.tv’s Ted Berg and I traveled to
Philadelphia to watch the Mets take on the Phillies in Citizen’s Bank Park, while also hanging out with fans at a large tailgate before the game.
To watch a short video from the first part of our trip, click here.
Speaking of video, on Wednesday, my MetsBlog Minute for the pre-game show focused on Carlos Delgado, and how best to handle him going forward.
To watch the one-minute clip, click here.

Anyone go to the Sunday night game? I’ve never seen a bigger group of Eagles fans wearing red. Those people are brutal.
Some drunk guy sitting behind me cursed at a 10 yr old Mets fan. Classy Philly. Very classy.
Sad thing is…nice city, nice stadium, bad clientele.
I was with you up until ‘nice city,’ unless you were referring to like the 1700s or something.
Haha..maybe it’s because of where I stayed. Stayed in Center City. Near all the shops, restaurants. I liked it. The subway is kinda shady, but for the most part, I liked it.
For the most part = until I sat in the stadium and 10 obnoxious guys sat behind me and yelled for 9 straight innings, asking how many games we won last September. The only thing I was able to come back with was, “how many games did you win in October.”
They are annoying a miserable bunch and I would wear a Chipper Jones jersey before I cheered for that team.
Geno’s
haha. nice job. just a little more schiradi jersey and it would be perfect!

that video was awesome. Im out at penn state and all philly fans are dumb like that.
i heard that silver bus had strippers on it. no joke. i know the guys who rented it.
Awesome Ted and Matt. A little humor in the time tension that being a Met fan is just great. Do it again in the future, maybe from Turner Field. Thanks for the laughter it brought me. Let’s Go Mets!
bravo… well done.
Just curious… did the Mets’ problems begin when Ted shaved the stache? ;-)
Finally got a chance to watch this–adorable, can’t wait for more, and I want to pinch both your cheeks. (The ones on your faces.)
