If he can learn on the fly and can pitch better than league average while doin so I keep him in. Besides, I agree Figgy won't produce at this level all year, we'll need Vargas to fill his spot and then maybe we can get SOMETHING for Sosa. Cause Pedros return isn't a sure thing. How many other times this year have we seen a player get past 1 setback only to develop another. Kudos to Omar for a great job loading up on Vargas, Figgy, Armas, and holding onto Niese. What to do about left field, first base though? Pagan really does look like a reserve (a good one) Chavez, Degado and Anderson are slumping and Alou and Valentin might never be back for any sigificant time. If the guy could throw strikes, he would not run into trouble all the time. Look at Figgy, comes out throwing strikes and keeps the mets in the game. I also think that it's not going to be too long before the league catches up to Figueroa, although he might do well as a middle reliever (he seems to do well the first time through the order). I think I'd be happier if the Mets released Sosa and installed Figueroa in the BP once Pedro returns.
