I know Delgado’s been a hot topic of late, but 1 of him is (more than) enough.

i know Endy needs at bats but are trying to make Pagan useless?

i think they’re trying to get endy going, and use him against the RHP

this is why the mets suck. A guy who plays hard and actually hits with some success gets benched for no reason.

he hasn’t been hitting with success recently, and endy is and has been more of a long-term option, where it seems as if pagan was only really good for that hot stretch

Alou is clearly the missing link…

yeah, I suppose the logic is somewhat defensible, but I’d rather have Pagan getting those ABs. Even if he’s cooling down, he’s a still better hitter, and scoring runs has been the trouble, lately.

maybe he cooled off because he stopped playing regularly. He has hit more consistely than anyone in the lineup besides wright and church. Willie needs to try using positive reinforcement with these guys. Its like training a dog

Strawberry makes Mazilli look like Brian Williams! Why does he keep moving his lips when he’s not speaking? Is he still on dope?

He’s definitely on dope, he keeps licking his lips and moving his lips while Yazzzzof is speaking. Might as well just stick Chapelle in that seat with the ski cap and cane all over his face.

i just don’t understand why mets fans are developng a bad reputation. is it the booing? or the general venom and nastiness?

you have a very good point, zen. lots of mean spiritedness in the air… i have an idea of what is happening, reasonable and carefully thought out, but the tenor of this room and some of the posters makes it difficult to speak about without the fear of getting booed myself.

Well why is it ok to crucify Mazzili, but god forbid question darryl’s pregame analysis?

i didn’t realize you were questioning his analysis. i though you were making random personal attacks that had nothing to do with his analysis and comparison to chappelle with a ski cap on.

my bad.

Dont forget that Endy is also a top flight defensive player and Pagan is not even close to Endy on defense. So if Endy is going to get on base then he definitely should be playing

agreed. with a starting staff filled with fly ball pitchers i prefer seeing endy over pagan. or at least split the time.

also agreed, Pagan’s defense leaves a lot to desire, he’s just not very good out there actually, reminds me of Milledge, but with a much worse arm, not that Milledge’s arm is that great, but Pagan’s is just that bad. Against the Pirates, hopefully one extra bat (even though Pagan hasn’t been hitting as well lately) won’t make the difference, they are pretty bad after all and we do have Santana going.

He better because if he doesn’t, you know these tuesday night Shea attendees will boo him off the mound.

Phillies fans are stupid enough to believe in him, Mets fans know better!

Its great to see Endy in there. He was a pleasant spark in 2006 that needs to be revisited. He has been kind of forgotten on this team of late.

Geez, is it too much to ask to have more than 673 people in the stands for a Johan start??!?

Comment by PacmanJones

This is Shea, they don’t sell more than 20k for weekday games, it’s sad. This is why I don’t believe any of the talk about it being difficult to get tickets to Citi, especially after this year.

I agree these nights are exhibit one to destroy any whining arguments about reduced capacity at Citi.

Still - a turnout like this with Johan on the mound is a bit embarrassing.
