Now I know hes hurt, but maybe hes too fragile to be a catcher. With Casanova and Molina doing an Okay job as the backup, why dont we give Castro a firstbasemen's mitt and have him start taking grounders at first. He probably wouldnt get injured every other day at first base and he will probably hit very well once he comes close to reaching 100%

Castro left the game in the fifth inning after throwing out a runner at first base, but Mets manager Tim Teufel said he will start again tonight in the second game of a three-game series here.

"He just got fatigued a little bit and cramped up, but he'll be back in the lineup again (tonight), and he'll play five to seven innings. That's good news," Teufel said.

Let's stay off the ledge and stop jumping to conclusions.

Your argument has some validity regarding Castro and steriods. However, the thing is he had never in his career been able to stay on the field consistently. If he had been juicing, he would have been on the field much more, early in his career

The injury bug has been the theme for this team since spring training. Sadly, the team has let this team overtake them psychologically! It's sad!

I think he should borrow a page from Duaner and wear some funky night vision goggles to the mound.

Yes....and so did the Marlins!!!! Woo hoo. Unfortunately, the Nats won. We do need to watch our backs you know.

But it seems like we are "backinbusiness"!!! No pun intended. Actually, there was about as much pun intended as Phil Hughes has sore oblique.

agreed. I would like to see them a different approach going into 09. This team NEEDS to get younger and alot of age and money comes off after this year.
