i really hope you don't want jim rice in the HOF then, because moises has better numbers.
also quoting all-star appearances, gold gloves, etc. for HOF consideration? come on.

alou is a great hitter but is not a HOF. Puckett had glaucoma and had to retire because he lost his vision, not chronic injuries. other than the last couple of years alou was a work horse anyway and he doesnt have the numbers. puckett was only the second player ever to have 2000 hits over his first 10 years, he played only 12 years yet was a 10 time all star, 6 time gold glover, 6 time silver slugger and led minny to their only 2 world championships. and manny ramirez is the best pure hitter of the generation.

I sure hope that Moises gets some respect when he becomes eligible for the HOF. It's not his fault that he's been injured so much throughout his career. There is a precedent for inducting players whose careers were shortened due to injury (Kirby Puckett). Moises Alou is probably the best pure hitter of his generation. There is no one else, except perhaps Vladimir Guerrero, who can hit a pitchout for a line drive. If you were to poll major league pitchers about the hitters they'd least like to pitch against, the list would probably look something like: Ichiro, Alou, Chipper Jones, Vlad, etc. I think the others are likely HOF'ers, so why not Alou?

this lineup is completely different when church bats second, they actually score runs. castillo should remain at the bottom and this should be there lineup from here on out.

You know what we're 12-10 and we haven't played well. The good news is alou is back and Pedro will be back by June and considering that beltran, delgado, and reyes haven't really done much, I think we're gonna be alright and you know what zona tends to make our bats happy.....Here's to lookin at the glass half full and I say we take 2 of 3 from them this weekend

at this point why not DL schneider? w/the retroactive time he would be back soon enough w/o wasting an option on molina.

I agree. I would much rather see it go Castillo second, but I think Willie doesn't want Cassanova batting 8th, plus it splits up the lefties.

Love this lineup. First off your putting your top 5 hitters 1-5. You got castillo batting 8th where he can be that pest type hitter and help clear the pitcher. Also if delgado's hitting thats a plus.

Even though castillo has been hitting better lately theres a big difference between church getting more ab's and castillo. Church has the ability to drive in runs, he has that ability to hit a 2 run homer once the lineup turns over. maybe with 2 outs we get a bloop and a blast or something.

I hope we score a ton of runs this weekend. It will def be hard, but if we do and maybe steal 2 of 3 against the diamondbacks and one of the best starting staffs in all of baseball theyll be no excuse for willie to change the lineup again.
