Having gone to games in AZ, LA, SD, and Seattle..it is a unique, fun experience as a Mets fan.

Still, it doesn’t come close to the support they get at home.

Yeah, nobody EVER cheers for the Mets at Shea.

This gets more and more ridiculous by the day.

So we have a team that has a BETTER home record than an AWAY record, and people are making those of us who go to Shea out to be villains.

Screw that.

I don’t boo my own team, but if other people want to let them know that they are angry about how 2007 ended, that’s their business. If they want to boo a starter who can’t get out of the second inning, that’s their business too.

But I’ll be damned if anyone is going to act like Shea is being filled with disgraceful, uncaring fans. I’m sick of reading that garbage. Most of us support the team regardless of the way they have let us down, and they DID let us down. They raised the prices, and we snapped up tickets anyway. Most of us cheer their every move.

Enough already. This ain’t little league or your kid’s school play. People are going to do whatever they want. I choose to cheer, but you don’t have to, and that’s nobody else’s business.

And the only thing the team should do about it is shut up and play baseball.

is it me or do the mets get more cheers in away games?
in the beggining of the season i saw more met fans at away fields than the home teams such as marlins, nationals, lots of mets fans in philly and atlanta and a decent number of them in arizona and LA. and the thing is that these fans are literally outstanding since they show up in big groups and actually cheer on the Mets unlike in Shea Stadium. I mean, doesn’t it feel good to go to another team’s house and have fans cheering you rather than hearing the constant boos in your home field

9-5 home 7-9 road..
i mean I know it a couple more games on the road, but even adding in 2 losses to the home column, were 9-7

Seriously, go out and play hard. Give the fans your best effort. Then you can stop addressing this kind of stuff.
