I dont see them delaying tomorrow's game till the next time the Nats are in unless there's a day off the day before or after that series. If there isnt I could see them playing a doubleheader Wed. or Thur. As I said a little further up this thread, cant take the chance that a game in that series gets rained out and be forced to play doubleheaders back to back. Then again as I sit here typing, Willie and Omar might want to take that chance so as not to have to bring up someone to pitch. Well after looking at the sched they have days off on each side of the 2 game series and thats in Sept so they could have someone called up to handle a doubleheader if neccesary. So I guess my whole response has become moot. LOL

The real strange thing is Patterson was in the ondeck circle when their previous at bat ended ready to pinch hit the inning before. What the heck was he thinking?

My refrigerator magnet is gonna start sliding down pretty soon from all of the tickets it's holding up that have to be PPD. It already looks like tomorrow will be another one.

Well, this will start to drift off topic, but all the more reason that everyone here should (hopefully) agree that regardless of how we as individuals feel about Willie, the best course of action is for the team to win with him.

I don't like Willie, but there isn't anyone else, at least with the team right now, that I would trust any more than I trust him. I hope they get as far as they can with what they have this season, avoid as much interruption as poosible, and then if they want to run everyone out of town and bring in a new staff in '09, go for it.

that was after Baker came out to talk to the umps, which was after Willie came out. Before that Patterson was on deck ready to go. Baker took Patterson back to the dugout with him.

Baker almost let Freel bat out of order as well, but the umps went back to get Ross the second time.

No Corey Patterson was just outside the batters box when Willie came out of the dugout. Even Gary was saying that Patterson was out there to hit.

I'll take 3 out of 3 ;)

the rainout tomorrow would let them reset the rotation and avoid needing another starter. At least until they go to Colorado.
