Minors: F-Mart Heating Up
In his minor league report for the Daily News, Adam Rubin relays a story about Fernando Martinez‘s recent discovery that he is allergic to lobster.
Rubin, writes:
“A teammate said Martinez became so swollen he resembled Will Smith’s character in the movie “Hitch,” which the player noted would have been humorous if the reaction hadn’t affected Martinez’s breathing.”
Rubin also notes that after a slow start, Martinez has three straight multi-hit games and a .354 average with two homers in 34 May at-bats.
