excellent call MSA!

I would agree the Mets will do something to that effect. They may even call up a reliever (like Collazo who could be a long man) for a few days, then call up Bostick for the May 24th start which is when they will need the next 6th starter. Of course this all assumes everyone stays healthy from now until May 24th...

We had better win the last 3 games against Washington. To go 4-3 @ HOME against, arguably the two worst NL teams is indefensible.

A 5-2 homestand, coupled with taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees would produce a 7-3 clip before leaving New York for Atlanta.

Should we lose any more games against the Nats and LOSE 2 of 3 from the Yankees, we'd be right @ .500 heading to Turner Field: historically, the toughest place to win games for this franchise...

Absolutely. In fact, I would venture a guess that's why it's Vargas instead of Bostick, as originally believed. Vargas can get one start and go right back down, replaced by Bostick or Muniz. But since you're going to need someone to cover Fig's next start (and possibly the next few depending on how you want to fill until Pedro gets back) so you don't want to bring up a Bostick, demote him, and then have to leave him down for ten days.

I'ma pull a "David Sloane" and ask you to step off your short bus and read my comments carefully. I referenced a few different examples. If you want to further expand upon my point, or refute it, do some research. I was giving you the base of my opinion.

I knew the Mets would line up their three best pitchers against the Yankees. So I figured they'd put Maine in the Sunday Night game. P.S. Maine has never pitched well on a Nationally Televised game; vs. Atlanta this year on fox; last year @ Shea vs. Yankees; last year @ Wrigley vs. Cubs, etc. (except game 6 of the NLCS).
