Fernando Martinez will have an MRI today on his sore hamstring, which is injured while running the bases in Binghamton on Wednesday night.

according to people close to martinez, fernando believes the hamstring will be fine and that he can return to the lineup sooner than later…that said, f’mart, how about we let the doctors look at it anyway

I said in the original thread on this that he was gonna be out for at least 2-3 months, and mostly likely done for the year. Given his history, and the fact that this is the Mets we are talking about, it really can’t happen any other way!

    Free Nick Evans!

Awful past 24 hours for this ball club.

I don’t think the hamstring pull is as bad as it first sounded with Fernando, but we will see.

I was at the B-Mets game yesterday and F-Mart was walking with a noticeable limp….it wasn’t very encouraging.

Looks like he is the perfect replacement for Alou next year. He can hit, but can’t stay healthy.

F-Mart has a knack of turning things on and off…his ability to speak english and the limp. The limp isnt as bad as he made it seem to be yesterday.
