No way you give FMart for a guy who has much better stats at home than on the road for his career which has spanned 5 years.

Home
2b 89
3B 16
HR 73
Avg .364
OBP .426
SLG .664
OPS 1.090

Away
2B 72
3B 7
HR 36
Avg .274
OBP .336
SLG .444
OPS .780

Big time drop in power away from the statbloating park they call Coors Field. Based on what I have heard and seen on video of FMart he will be much better than Holliday if the park factor was neutral. As a reference forhis career Luis Castillo has a slugging of .365 at home and .346 on the road and this is a guy who played in a huge park and has not power even if he played in Coors and he is only 80 points behind Holliday's road slugging.

According to MLBtraderumors the Rockies don't even want MLB ready talent for Holiday. How about Fmart, Neise, Heilman and a prospect for Holliday and Fuentes?
Works for them to get a guy that can start for them now, another that can next year and then a high celling prospect in Fmart?
As for Helton, I am not sure you want those last 2-3 years of that contract.

Or Matt could just be expressing what most fans think with regard to Torrealba's agent filing a ridiculous grievance against the Mets that he really has no shot of winning. It's not the Mets fault they saw something in his physical they didn't like and decided to back out...blame your client.

I've heard that Brian Fuentes could be on the block for a lower level (Class A) high ceiling prospect because the Rockies have plenty of prospects at AA and AAA.
I would rather see that and move Heilman to the minors since he has options left.

Beltran is the best centerfielder in baseball right now. You can talk to me about Jones, Hunter, blah blah blah. I watch Beltran everyday and he is better than all of them.
