Video: Ted and Matt talk State of Mets
By Matthew Cerrone - May 20, 2008 10:03 am

To watch me and SNY’s Ted Berg talk about the state of the Mets, as the team heads to Atlanta and Colorado after taking two of two from the Yankees, click play below:

Speaking of Berg, check out his latest column for SNY, in which he asks us to see the Mets not as the 2007 or 2006 team, but as their own unique 2008 team.

    Matt…good job.

    Three thoughts

    1) this team should not be a 22-19

    2) Ted Berg has a serious head of hair

    3) Ashton Kutcher ruined mesh hats forever

the mets are 1 game out of first. frankly, i dont care about record- i want to see the mets in first place, whether they are 85-77 or 100-62. the marlins are struggling, and the mets could find themselves in first place with a doubleheader sweep and a marlins loss.

by the way, the conversation at the end of the clip is too awkward

Yeah, things will be great once the Mets are in first. Then, every time someone pops up with a RISP, there can be 300 posts about another collapse and firing Willie. Good times.
