wow i dont understand he. He seems really tense and nervous and jumpy.

    • NY Cuban says:

I just think he has reached a point where he is trying to endear himself to the fans by any means possible.

      • No_Brain_Willie says:

        he has lost his mind.

        • ebfnyc says:

he said black again. leave it alone guy. NYers arent really racist. If we were we coudnt go outside. lol unreal.

        • GRANDPADAWG says:

Both Willie & the jacket have to go. players aren’t
playing for him anymore, and Mr Stats has been tuned out by his pitchers.
          ENOUGH ALREADY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
          GET RID OF BOTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • ebfnyc says:

      willie lay off the adderall.

  2. SlappyMcHomerton says:

you know what actually i’ve disliked willie since 2k5 but he is such a big time underdog these days that i have to pull for him now. never in my life did i think i’d say this but

    LET
    GO
    WILLIE

  3. Mex_17 says:

Willie reminds me of Fredo Corleone. A bumbling boob, in way over his head, and he demands RESPECT! He’s SMART, not like everybody says!

    And Omar is Johnny Ola.

  4. I’ve head too many people begging for the Mets to fire Willie Randolph. If these people had any brains, they would know that winning teams do not fire their manager in mid-season. Who would do better at this point? And also, just look at Tom Coughlin with the Giants. Everyone wanted him fired in 2006 and what happened the next year?
Keep in mind that we are not even halfway through the season yet.

  5. ebfnyc says:

    hes getting fired.

    black fired race fired

    racial fired — racist

    issue

    cant say that period lol

  6. krumbledkookie says:

This makes me sad, because it detracts from Willie’s credibility to step back from his comments, which we have to assume were made in all honesty, since they were off the record.

Whatever – if we give him a blank slate and start now, it’s still not looking too good. Maybe they have to hit rock bottom in order to turn it around.

    • No_Brain_Willie says:

his comments post-article were essentially “i thought they wouldn’t be published. if they would be, i wouldn’t have said it. however, i still said it and meant it.”

      • krumbledkookie says:

So essentially, all was taken out of context? I guess I can forgive him that.

        • No_Brain_Willie says:

how is it out of context. he said it number 1, and 2, he believes in what he said. his only statement was that he should have kept it to himself- how is that apologizing?

  7. kjmcc0729 says:

tired of hearing willie apologize. he said what he said, off the record or on, he said them. just shut the he!! up and win some games!

  8. colonelh says:

He has to go. He’s lost his mind.

  9. wa2k99 says:

I really want to root for Willie, but it’s time for him to go. He will be a fine manager somewhere, but not with this joke of a club.

    • Mex_17 says:

He might be a fine manager at Applebee’s or JiffyLube someday, but he’ll never be an MLB manager again.

No one is going to hire him after his unprofessional and delusional behavior here.

  10. metsfansberealistic says:

he’s being honest here, and he said nothing wrong

this team’s lack of success is on Omar –
    he compiled this roster

    Beltran was a tragic signing

Delgado & Castillo & many others are over the hill

how is any of this Willie’s fault?

too many Met fans should be ashamed of themselves for their comments

  11. metsfansberealistic says:

I’ll go as far as to say, as a Mets fan since 1968, if they have the stupidity to listen to their witless fans (a small but loud minority), and fire Willie, the Wilpons will lose me permanently

    this team is Omar’s doing

  12. soulsea says:

To anybody who is still defending Willie saying that the manager doesn’t hit, run, or catch. HEAR THIS: The bleeping Cardinals are 27-21, the Bleeping Marlins are 26-19. Also go to the WFAN website and listen to the Dave Trembley interview with Mike & Dog and drool with jealousy as you hear what a real MLB manager sounds like. Enough already!
