It looks like Sanchez will never be able to throw in the velocity pre-accident. That said, if and when Pedro returns, Wise should be DFAed, Vargas becomes the long man/swing man. IMO, he's pitched well enough to be considered being kept on the big league roster. The Mets need Heilman to get his head out of his arse. He's a more athletic type than Carp, who's more of a slugging 1B/DH type. The only reason they've been playing with Carp in LF is because the three hottest hitters on the team are all corner INFs. I honestly think it's a blessing in disguise that he's injured right now, otherwise the Mets would easily choose to rush him. Bringing him right now would be a huge mistake. The Mets need to not follow their precedent and keep F-Mart in the minors. They do not want to overexpose this kid too early considering they're banking their future on him.
