Look guys, its no or never. We are now getting closer to the NATS then the Marlins. If we dont sweep the Rockies and take 2 from the Marlins it will be over. If the pattern of Win 2 against the Reds loose 3 to the Hats, win 2 against the Yanks Loose 4 to the Braves, win 2 against the Rockies loose 3 to the marlins, holds up we will be in a bad spot. we could be 8 or 9 games out and this team does not have the heart and soul to fight back and the only fight we will have is with the NATA for the basement. IM sick and disgusted with this team and it no longer fun to watch. All you have to do is watch the 7th inning. If they have more than a 2 run lead we will win if not we will loose :{ oh, well. We can get them in 2009 in our new stadium.

FYI. The Yankee manager was thrown out of the game during the 9th inning last night for fighting about ball and strikes and then Matsui hit the game wining RBI. Willie should be watching that and learn.

because its proven that him being thrown out made them win?

Dude, not many people here are arguing that Willie should be fired, but come on, this argument is TIRED!

I think it is true what they say. If you team is losing, you as a fan feel depressed. That’s how I feel now.

JimYager said it perfectly! This team loses 4 games to the Reds and Nats at home, then the go and take 2 from the Yankees. Us Met fans get excited!! They proceed to get swept in a 4 games series in Atlanta. 2 Things rarely happen, A team sweeps a double hearder and a team gets swept in a 4 game series. The Mets go out and do both in the same series. This team is no fun to watch right now and if something doesn’t change soon my remote control will be locked out of Met channels so I can’t turn on anymore.

Castillo for 3 more years! I just had to puke. What was Omar thinking? This guy is flat awful and when he comes to the plate you just know that he is slapping the ball to the pitcher or bunting out to the pitcher.

This is no slump. There is a systemic problem with the coaching staff. The Mets have the talent to be a .600 team and they are underachieving at .500. They have been playing .500 ball since last June, so this is no slump. It is time to clean house before it is too late. I am hoping for a 10-game losing streak to wake the owners up before the All-Star break so there is time to recover. It is time to fire Willie Randolph, Rick Peterson and Howard Johnson. While I did like HoJo when he played, he is not getting the job done with the way the Mets are hitting. I do not think a career .249 hitter makes a good hitting coach. Hire Lee Mazzilli as the manager, Ron Darling as the pitching coach, and Mike Piazza as the hitting coach.

Great comments Seaver. I would love Piazza as a hitting coach and I agree about Johnson. I mean Met fans liked him and I have no issue with him but he was A HR guy so how can he teach you how to hit for average?

Pay Bobby Valentine wads of money and get him back!! man do I miss him and what he brought to the Mets. Damn you Steve Phillips!!!
