"Or are you speaking of HGH, the miracle drug that does nothing?"

You're kidding, right? It's common knowledge that it increases strength and mucular recovery. There's also evidence that it improves eyesight. Yeah, none of that really sounds all that helpful to a baseball player...

You know, if Nelson REALLY cared, he could have jumped in anytime to make the buy, he was however just looking to get a bigger offer than Wilpon would give.

While I think Valentin is better than a few of the players on the team right now, I really do hate the 'just wait until _____ gets here.' Pedro, Alou, Valentin, etc etc. What when they do get here? And what about when they get injured again?

Regardless of how old he is, how much better or worse he is than Castillo or if he is needed to mentor Reyes, the one thing I observe with Valentin is that everytime he is asked to play, he plays with heart and passion. I have never come away after watching him play that he mailed it in, was bored or whatever else some of the other players are labeled as doing. I think Valentin would provide some spark, even if it is short lived.

That's no typo Anderson Hernandez numbers in triple A are horrible... Castillo is the least of our offensive probs. How about Delgado come up yesterday and get a hit rather than a sac fly...

wow. so it has come to this.

Our savior is a 40 year old middle infielder who hits .240 for his career and has a 2 to 1 K/BB ratio.

How about barry bonds folks? stick him at 1B.
