It is just the anti-Delgado crowd here interpreting Delgado's refusal to get needled by a pushy reporter as somehow "anti-Willie." It's as if Mike Francesca sets the talking points for the day and the fans here claim to hate the guy yet parrot every idiot statement he makes. Delgado is a team player. Makes no nevermind to me what he says to a reporter, production is all that counts. I agree it's a good idea to sit Delgado against a tough lefty tonight but it's also clear we need his bat in the lineup - look how thin it is without him. Nothing. Not a platoon with each other... Willie is loyal almost to a fault. He protects Delgado especially and Delgado won't even come right out and defend his manager. The only reason he's still starting is because of Willie Loyalty to his veterans. Things will work themselves out eventually though.
