For all of your walk-off details, from last night’s walk-off win, check out Mets Walk-Offs and Other Minutiae.
According to Metstradamus, the Heil-O-Meter is at full throttle.
In a post to Brooklyn Met Fan, Adam writes:
“(I) was lucky enough to be in the house…and I gotta say I was super impressed by the fan energy within Big Shea. It was almost as if the Faithful decided to will positive energy back into the Mets…and I think it worked. At game’s end the ramps were playoff raucous with fans bellowing chants of “Let’s Go Mets” as we all exited Shea.”
By changing his website’s name from MetsGeek.com to RaysGeek.com, Eric Simon was mentioned in USA Today.
At ArmChairGm, Dan provides some weird facts about last night’s game, such as, “The Mets’ pitchers were better than the Mets catchers – on offense.”
Lastly, according to Kevin Kernan in the New York Post, Willie Randolph should follow his instincts, like Joe Torre.

kernan’s article was one of the dumber things I’ve read lately. Among the post’s (improved) baseball beat, he’s most likely to drop clunkers like this.
I know, he calls him “Willie” when it is clearly BILL R.
what a clown.
Kernan has been a moron of the highest order spanning several years and numerous sports. I still remember every Knicks column he ever wrote was about how much better off the team would be without Ewing and Van Gundy.
Funny, I don’t recall him writing any columns recently reflecting on how that has worked out.
yep, he’s the village idiot over there. he must have something on the editor, to still be employed.
Um hello I already doubled last year’s HR total, and I’m on pace to SMASH my 2003 career high of six.
I mean nice bullpen, Tatis is a nice guy and whatever, but both you, me, and Bill R. know that the key to the Mets is SLAPPY YEAH
Slappy, I have a question for you:
Being that the power is here, does that mean that stolen bases and reputation as a speed demon are a thing of the past? Also, is there any truth that chicks dig the long ball?
1) I agree to a certain extent – it is very difficult to steal a base after hitting a BOMB. In the rare instance i don’t slap a moonshot to deep center, I’ll swipe a few, hopefully finishing the year in the 70-80 SB range.
2) Dude, I’m a pimp. What more do you want me to say?
One more question….do you wear an orange blazer on off days?
Bill R. for manager of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!
In case you were wondering how Bill R. came to entirely replace Willie, I suggest you watch Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey for a visual example.
BILL R. BABY!
It was most heinous.
Seriously, no news today? Anything going on in Iraq? How bout them Democrats? White woman and a black guy running for prez? No? Covering the MetsGeek name-change-gag is what USA Today needs to be covering?
Way to be a legit source of news! ::gives thumbs up::
I also love how Simon received death threats from Rays fans.
Really… I had no idea they actually HAD any fans! Looks like a new bandwagon just pulled into the station.
USA Today didn’t earn the nickname “McPaper” for nothing.
LOL
Could Brooklyn Met Fan please confirm if the fans last night were following “Let’s Go Mets” with that stupid, disgraceful, and disrespectful “Whoot!”?
If the answer is no, then I have very high hopes for this season at Shea.
Whoot!
“Willie Randolph should follow his instincts”
Isn’t that how he got in trouble in the first place?
well puting endy in there in the 9th was genius! how come people are not talking about that move more?
there are many moves that Willie has made these past 2 games that were good. Too many to mention in fact.
I can’t believe I just said that.
Joe Torre’s instincts: snooze, snooze, snooze, snore, sleep, snore, snooze, snooze, fill out lineup card, snooze, snooze, snore, sleep, turn over, sleep, snore, drool, sleep…
