Sorry…don’t want Adam Dunne!!

It’s hard enough watching Wright and Beltran strike out back to back. Add Dunne in the mix and we have many trifecta K’s to enjoy.

NO THANKS!

Maybe we would score a couple more runs if Mr. 20+ million dollars a year Carlos Beltran would produce a little more hitting cleanup than his 255 batting average and 6 homeruns. I'm sorry but going 2 for 17 in a series with 4K and 0 rbis batting in the cleanup spot will get your team swept even by the sucky Padres.

We can all agree that Billy Wagner has spoken his mind before, and doesn’t seem to shy away from the media, right? And, we all know that being so media-friendly can put someone in a vulnerable position, right?

Well, talk about vulnerability with your comments. “Absolutely the worst. If it gets worse than this . . . I don’t think it can.”

The thing that I hate breaking to Billy is how things can absolutely get worse. I truly pray that I’m wrong, however, there’s definitely enough baseball drama left to have at least two-things happen:

First, the Mets backup Wagner’s prediction to how things can’t get worse than this, thus, the gradual climb heads North, and the Mets move into a playoff position.

Second, the Mets continue to slide South; fans continue to have their Boos heard loud and clear; Randolph hops back onto the hot seat, and this time the phrase, “Free Willie” takes center to the New York stage. And, things continue to get worse.

What’s it going to be Mets, What’s it going to be.

I wish Alou would just go away. Yeah, he can still hit, but IMHO, he does more harm to this team than good.

Endy had a career year in 2006 and even at that Lofton’s stats last year surpassed Endy’s career year. BTW don’t expect another year from Endy similar to 2006. Career years are just that.

Lofton, Schneider and Castillo are superior to Chavez, Schneider and Castillo or Tatis, Schneider and Castillo. With a lineup sans power but with players that can play small ball Willie would have to resist his AL Yankees way and play an aggressive brand of baseball. The Mets starting staff is potentially good enough to win with small ball.

No, just...no. I'm open to trading Perez, but Damon is playing way over his head right now. His 2007 was atrocious. Just because he went 6 for 6 the other day, doesn't mean he is good at this point in his career. I fully expect him to revert to that form sooner than later. Besides, I'd rather have Perez suck for $6 million for this year only, than have Damon suck for $13 million a year for two years.

Look at what we have on our roster today. Our team is incredibly talented individually and the potential is far greater than the performance. We have the league leader in SB last year. We have Wright who is a 30 hrs-30 sb-100 rbi. Beltran, 30-20-100. Delgado 20 hr-80 rbi. Church 20 hr- 70 rbi. Take a look at these players and their past performance. Then take a look at the stats of the 2000 Mets and what they accomplished the few years after. Not even close. We have no leadership. None. My point was, the 2000 Mets played well above their expectations and they depended on monster years from Zeille, Alfonzo, and Piazza. We have nobody to kick this current team in the behind and have them overachieve. The current team are all under achieving.

30-32. June 9th. 100 games left. Approx. 4 before July 31st. Alou is going to do what? We will know soon enough what the Wilpons intend to do the rest of the season.
