It's not how I express myself. I cannot tell the person behind me or in front of me how to express themselves. If I try, they are going to tell me to mind my own business. If I won't tell them there, I'm not going to be a hypocrite and tell them here. It's a nice warm night, so if I didn't want to remain at least a little bit positive I could find about a million other things to do tonight, but instead I go to the games and cheer for my team. But as long at this team is playing .607 at home and .382 on the road, I'm not going to tell anyone else around me that what they are doing as fans is hurting or even not helping. It's the last thing anyone should even be thinking about right now.

i understand your sentiment and i wasn't implying that the booing is hurting the team. but let's be honest, it certainly won't help. with regard to people paying their own money, you are right that people have that freedom, but as a fan, is that you really want to express yourself? why pay money to boo and get pissed off when you curse and throw things at your television for a fraction of the cost? go to the game and enjoy yourself is all i was saying, god forbid anyone on this site actually be positive

The booing at Shea hasn't hurt this team, but it's been very convenient for people to try and pass some of the blame onto the fans.

Home: 17-11
Away: 13-21

I'm going tonight, but I'm not booing anyone. If other people around me want to do it, that's their right. Stop telling people who pay for their tickets how they should behave. If they're not doing anything that warrants an ejection or arrest, mind your own business. Enough with this already.

Just an idea for tonight - call me crazy but I think it would be helpful if those that attend could try to inject some positive energy into this team and not boo every single thing that goes wrong. I realize we're all disappointed in this team, but do you honestly think they don't realize how poorly they're playing? It makes us as fans look savage, bitter and petty and isn't going to help anything. Go to the game and enjoy yourself and root the team on to win. It's not early, but it still isn't late and they can turn it around. Be positive, and remember, it's not our jobs on the line.
