It stops working randomly and/or because of rain, but let's move it over to Citi Field!

Great idea, that.

The sentiment is nice but practicality is dead. Perhaps the "Save the Apple" people can focus their efforts to something more productive, like making the Citi Field seating chart available to the public. (Yes, the Mets have one. Why they won't share it is a mystery).

Pete should feel lucky the dynamet dash (if that is still the name) was cancelled. I went to that as a kid, and I hated it even then. You get to stand in the blazing heat for about 2-3 hours, then walk around the field. Yay. Fun.

I reported on my blog that it didn't come up on Thursday for Castro's home run. I think something is up, or at least seriously broken. Unlike some of you, I want the real, crummy stinky original apple to make the move to Citifield. I want some link to the Mets' scruffy past in the new yuppie stadium.

I was at last Thursday's day game and it didn't come up then either. It didn't have anything to do with the rain.

FIRE JAY HORWITZ!

I guess that Bobby Valentine character never managed here. Lord knows there have been so many managers that got the Mets to the postseason in consecutive years.

they need to bring back some mr met commercials. I saw one on youtube from years ago. the mets were on the road and a homestand was upcoming. one showed mr met spending his free time running in front of the radar gun and it kept showing his speed at 7 or 6. another showed him shooting tshirts at a groundscrewman and trying to hide in the seats with half his head sticking out

They should just dump the apple. I saw it's canister in Citi Field and I hate it. It's gonna mess up some HRs.

Actually I hear your criticisms and think that while some are legit most are unfounded and simply the whims of the average "what have you done for me lately fan" whose opinions on players, coaches, managers and front office personal change with the wind. Willie is second to only Davey Johnson as the most winning manager in mets history. He must be doing something right to get that many W's with the old, aging, lazy, injury prone, poorly planned team with no decent backup plan that Omar put together.
