The Mets have named Marty Scott and Rick Waits manager and pitching coach, respectively, of the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs.
Scott worked in the Texas Rangers’ organization from 1982 to 1994, serving in various roles. Meanwhile, waits had been the Mets’ Minor League Pitching Coordinator for the past five years and has served as pitching coach on all levels of the Mets system since joining the organization 13 years ago.

Wow those seem like interim AAA coaches.
Does this mean our farm’s coaching ranks are as thin as our farm’s player ranks?
Scott came up from the Gulf Coast League Mets… hmmm, a low level managing job… who might be a good candidate for that job? maybe…. Wally?!!!
i was about to say the same thing my man…WALLY SHOULD BE OUR AAA COACH!!!
I nominate Matt Cerrone for bench coach. He can solicit input on moves from the fanbase in real time. How cool would THAT be?
WALLY!

WALLY!
Google “hire wally”
I think Matt Cerrone should be the new bench coach. He can get input from all of us on game strategy in real time to help Jerry. That would be great.
sorry about the double post. The site goofed me up.
great for us. torture for matt
A few years back there was a documentary on the FX network that followed the trials and tribulations of the Independant, Northen League’s St. Paul Saints franchise. Marty Scott was the manager of that team..Darryl Strawberry also had a little stint there as a player if I remember correctly. Scott seemed to have his act together..he’s very experienced and very no nonsense, He’s been around pro baseball forever..should be an asset to the Mets organization
I want John Stearns back.
Waits was my choice for Pitching coach. I thought he was the one who straightened out Steve Trachsel and others…..
Oh Yeah Baby! This is the big news I have been waiting for.
