as long as we're going with that comparison, Willie Randolph was a much much better leader than the president.

I still think the Mets could do it. they're certainly talented enough. Will they figure out what their roadblock is? Only time will tell.

i love how everyone makes willie flying to california to be such a dramatic thing by saying he traveled 3,000 miles. i know that it was a gutless move to fire him there, but i love reading and listening to ppl talk about it, as if willie had to walk the 3,000 miles.

No. The more trips the better. Players love being tired when they play. I hear it makes most people perform better!

The cost of Oil is actually at an all time low so taking many different cross country trips wont cut into the profit of teams making ticket prices go up.

If you do a 2-3 week road trip then you save money. And this isn't a business. This is just a game. They do not care about how much money they make as owners. They just want to see the game played to best ability.

You never know, the Mets might have to go back to Anaheim in October. I guess i'd be okay with another west coast trip like that.

Why travel 3,000 miles, when you can suck on the eastern side of the country?

Wouldn't it be better to do a 2-3 week road trip and do the max amount of traveling at once?
