It’s kind of a slow news day, so I keep posting this in every new article, I’m not trying to spam, I just wanna get a good group of Metsbloggers together to a game. Here it goes:

I know this is a little off-topic, but I bought a huge lot of 100 tix to the Mets Rockies Sunday night game on July 13th- the last game before the All-Star Break. Game will be on ESPN Sunday Night- this should be more reason to go as you will not have to listen to Morgan and Miller announcing the game if you’re there live.

Anyways, I got the seats in the bleachers, the bleacher tickets run for 42 bucks face value (can you believe that?!?!). I want to sell them at face, I’m not trying to make a profit, I just wanna see a game in the bleachers at Shea with some like-minded Mets fans, so I figured I’d extend an open invite to any Metsbloggers to grab a ticket or four at face value for this game. I figure I’ll get there real early, tailgate all afternoon, then go in at around 4-5 for BP, catch a few homers in the stands before the game, then see a Sunday night game in the bleachers at Shea. The good thing is, you can bring in all the food you want to the stands, there’s a picnic area out beyond the bleachers, and alcohol is allowed out there, unlike at Yankee Stadium. If you’d be interested, you can click on the hyperlink of my account name which will bring you to the ebay listing, or e-mail me at

Okay, please stop posting this in every thread.

Want my opinion Matt? This whole stupid embarrasing
debacle won’t be over until Minaya, Manuel and Bernazard
        are out.

You’re probably going to start taking some abuse for posting this in every thread. I mean, I appreciate that you qualified your post (”slow news day”, acknowledged that you’ve posted it a few times), eventually people are going to get agitated. Have you tried e-mailing Matt with the details? Perhaps he’d be willing to devote a post to your efforts (I think trying to organize a group excursion for a bunch of metsblog readers falls in line with this site’s objectives, not that that’s my call to make). Best of luck.

I’m going to relax, it’s just that everytime I post it in a new thread, somebody else seems to email me about how they’re interested. You’d be suprised on this blog how people jump from one post to the newest post, and I want to get as many of us as I can to the game. Alot of people are excited about it, I’ve already got 5 guys who said they want to be 19 total, and that’s only been in a few hours. I just figured I’d post it as much as I could without being a spammer to garner a little more interest. I totally see your point about e-mailing Matt, and I’m going to do that now. Thanks for your help, I’m not trying to get flamed and I’m a pretty avid poster, it’s not like I’m some troll spamming things up, you know? Just trying to get a fun time together.

          this jumping is crazy.

if you want good advice … next time don’t bank on people wanting to pay face value for the bleachers.

Thats very expensive. Most savvy people buy cheap upperdeck tickets and move down to the field or loge.

        • ebfnyc says:

PS…. did you spend 4200 dollars on Mets tickets without trying for any profit? Is your only payoff hoping a hundred people get in touch for tickets and thus congregate?

There is something suspect about you, domosnacks5. “It smells like it (that your’e lying about something or a con-artist).’

        • domosnacks5 says:

they’re my offices tickets, alot of the people aren’t huge baseball fans, so I’m just trying to help them get sold. If you don’t want to trust me, that’s fine. I know alot of people, myself included, have never seen a game out in the Shea bleachers because you cannot individually purchase them. What I’m doing is just trying to give people an opportunity to purchase them at face value, unfortunately they’re rather expensive, to real Mets fans in the final season of Shea at a pretty desirable game. I never purchased the tix, I wouldn’t dish out 4200 of my own without knowing if all the tix would be sold; however, my office did so I’m trying to help the PR Director out.

As for the con artist thing, if you look at the link for my account name, I’ve posted them on ebay, I’ve also listed my school’s email account, if I was looking to screw people over I wouldn’t really use the email address at a respected university where it would be very easy for people to track me down. Maybe next time you should use your head before trying to accuse somebody of something.

I’d stick with the glasses Matt.

  5. Jaded1983 says:

i always look forward to your spots matt, great job as usual!

  6. nomoredelgado says:

i would just like to add a pre-emptive BOOOOOOOO to anyone who wants to wail about how matt is an SNY shill.

  7. Jova1931 says:

I’m disappointed, I expected my username to be mentioned on the air.

  8. anditsouttahere says:

Matt, try to limit the use of “you know”. Also, why aren’t you using a teleprompter like yallof? Thirdly, dont regard Mr. Mets Meat Head and his absurd and nonsenical comments. Otherwise, keep the specs.

  9. nomoredelgado says:

why can’t we talk about hank steinbrenner more on this website?

  10. Slob says:

I like how most people in the media use the word “blog” as though it is still some new, weird thing that isn’t to be taken seriously.

  11. patrick says:

In so far as this B+ rating for Santana, what are we grading against here, Steve Trachsel? Tom Glavine?

Santana has been mediocre at best this year with two games worth note, Philly and Arizona (at home), beyond that he has been inconsistent, posted long at bats in which hitters stuck in pitchers counts of 0-2 and 1-2 crawled back or made him work through 3-2 counts fouling balls off. What’s worse he could barely crack 90 on the radar gun Tuesday night.

He is a B+ compared ot Barry Zito, but so far under whelming.

  12. LilMetsFan says:

    Look at those Santana numbers again — that’s a straight B, not a B+.

Just my opinion, I like the glasses but you need to lose the pink shirt.

  13. gipper82475 says:

Sure looked like a B to me. 13% had him at A but another 13% had him at C ….so that’s no B+.

    Otherwise, good job Matt.

  14. Mat!! The glasses! Pink! More!

I better get a plug on mets blog minute one of those days. Keep wearing the glasses.

  15. MetsFan4Decades says:

It must be a slow news day. We’ve had bloggers complain about everything today from the fan posting his offer of tickets in every blog to what color shirt Matt wears on air and whether he wears glasses??? Jeeze, I actually read onecomment where someone said our new coaches are ‘kind of ugly’.

I think some of us have lost our minds or are extremely sleep deprived from watching late night games – lol.

  16. nomoredelgado says:

im sure you’d be fantastic on tv.

  17. Blasphemy! Matt Cerrone is the voice of the fans. Basically, he is our God. Don’t you dare make fun of him!
