With the amount of injuries this team has, there has to be a guy with options that can go up and down as needed. It’s a lot easier to shuffle a RP back and forth than a position player who needs some kind of rhythm. Muniz just happens to be the guy this year.

Omar doesn’t seem to know much about roster moves. This one seems too kneejerk. This kid Muniz seems like the real deal and although he gave it up last night, I think we could benefit by keeping him up, because he can get the experience he needs up in the Show and benefit the club short and long term. Just my hunch – which seems to be as good as Omar’s has lately. I just remember what happened to Heath Bell. I defnitely wasn’t in favor of keeping him, it’s just that Heilman can give it up over and over and he stays up to get fixed. I know Heilman is older and more “mature”, just my 2 cents. If this kid feels every time he goes up there and fails, that he’ll go back down, that’s a lot more pressure.

for the record it was 81 appearances over 3 seasons for Bell.

i know the val pascucci movement has died down a bit, but i would have liked to see pascucci get a chance to play, even if it was for a few games. we’ve already tried aguila, and its pretty apparent the guy cant play at this level.

anyways, as for tonight, it looks like beltran is out of the lineup. this should be our lineup

also Heath Bell was given 327498237 chances, lets not pretend like he didnt get called up a half dozen to a dozen times and he sucked every single one of them, he never showed a flash of being a viable option while in a Mets uniform, they gave him 3 years of trying.

is Heath Bell any good away from SD? Im asking, I have no idea…but every pitcher is good in SD…

dykstraw, agreed…although I think the roster moves are suggest by Jerry first…i mean they must be…oh well through, Vargas passed through, which baffles me, so when Pedro goes on the DL any day now we have a call up.

Yeah, I seriously don’t get this. If Muniz is taken seriously as a possibility to make a contribution to this team at some point now or down the road, by the time they’re ready for him he’ll be out of options and either be traded or DFA’d , only to get claimed by someone else. He’s never really been given a chance to pitch. Can anyone say Heath Bell?

He shouldve been sent down for Armas….not that I care much about Andy Phillips but hes better then Chris Aguila…
