  1. Yay. A post that is NOT about aquiring an oufielder.

  2. dave27 says:

We don’t see Washington between 5/15 and 8/12…that’s a little ridiculous.

  3. nomoredelgado says:

    kyle kendrick is horrible.

  4. Dwright5kiddflushing says:

He’s not horrible, He kinda reminds me a bit of Steve Trachsel. Pitches to great run support. At least steve did in 2006

  5. AzMetsFan says:

Maybe Chipper should name his next kid “Petco”

Off topic, but I just did a double take on ESPN.com while clicking on the MLB section to load I caught in the corner of my eye on the headline side bar “…Beltran test positive for EPO”. I freaked for a second but it was “Tour Rider Beltran tests positive for EPO.”

Ryan Howard: Hey guys. Groovy Day. Kyle from Southpark is pitching today. That means everybody is Batman.

    Rollins: Batman!

Utley: I am so cool to be on a team that everybody is Batman! Wheee!

None of these posts is remotely funny.

      • ebfnyc says:

        ‘are’ remotely funny.

        • toomanyuniforms says:

No, dillweed, “is.” There, “none” was being used as a short form of “not one.”

        • ebfnyc says:

none = are. It’s plural. lol.

          oy.

          youre an _______.

and honestly guy … none is not short for ‘not one.’ come on. that would be bad English anyway “Not one of these posts is… .

          None/not one isn’t like doesn’t/does not.

        • toomanyuniforms says:

Sorry, brat. You’re wrong on this one. “None” can be singular, and can be used to mean “not one.”

        • ebfnyc says:

That’s called mislabeling when you call somebody a name (brat) for no reason. It’s incorrect and shines through as insecure.

You are incorrect about how to use the word, ‘none.’

          lol.

        • ebfnyc says:

and just ps — none never equals not one.

          its not any.

“not any; “thou shalt have none other g-ds before me”

        • toomanyuniforms says:

This is really amusing. Please look it up.

        • ebfnyc says:

I was forced to look it up. Which i couldn’t believe I was second-guessing the word none.

Anyway I’m right and your wrong and you have the audacity to comment on my little satire (wasn’t going fo the huge laugh) which had more entertainment value than anything you’ve ever said and you can’t handle it.

          AS PER NONE:

-not any; “thou shalt have none other gods before me”
-not at all or in no way; “seemed none too pleased with his dinner”; “shirt looked none the worse for having been slept in”; “none too prosperous”; “the passage is none too clear”

          NOT, NOT ONE.

INCORRECT. prove me wrong or just give up guy.

        • toomanyuniforms says:

          Sure:

          Strunk & White:

“With ‘none’, use the singular verb when the word means ‘no one’ or ‘not one.’”

Example : None of us is perfect.

“Not any” could also merit the singular.

        • ebfnyc says:

No once you said “these,” it because plural. Therefore, the singular usage of the word in the pronoun form isn’t valid.

None of ‘these’ posts ‘is’ funny. (incorrect).
None of ‘these’ posts ‘are’ funny. (correct).

Further; None of us is perfect wouldn’t be the obvious first choice for that statement.

          Nobody’s perfect.
          Nobody is perfect.
None of us is perfect (last choice).
