Pedro Martinez, who will meet the team later today in Cincinnati, may throw a bullpen session during today’s game.
If Martinez is unable to throw a bullpen session today he may miss his next scheduled start on Tuesday.
…since the Mets do not need a fifth starter until next weekend versus the Cardinals, they should let him rest and get healthy…

The Nationals-Braves game features two potential Rookie of the Year candidates. Johh Lannan pitched well on the road this season, posting a 2.53 ERA away from home. He’s only allowed four home runs on the road. Jair Jurrjens is great at home, going 5-1 in Atlanta.
No surprise, Adam Eaton moved to the pen with the acquisition of Joe Blanton.
With his win Friday night, Jamie Moyer is now 10-0 in starts against the Marlins.
