Just woke up Mets pr honcho Jay Horwitz (sorry, Jay). Contrary to a report today, closer Billy Wagner is not scheduled to have an MRI today on his throwing shoulder.

Wagner felt better on the plane last night after having some trouble getting loose yesterday before striking out the side in the 10th inning of the Mets’ 7-5 win over the Reds.

Don't know what it is, but it sounds as if "Ol' Country Billy" is playing some sort of mind game. He obviously was able to pitch through this, else we'd be screaming about his string of blown saves since the ASB. Hopefully it won't be something big. If, God forbid, Billy has to go on the DL, bring Kunz up and do a bullpen-by-committee thing. Wags said that Heilman could take over for him (early in the season, then Heilman was horrible).
