Are we trying to compete with the Yankees for the division or the Phillies, somebody remind me.). I also seriously, seriously doubt Minaya was ever serious about Nady. He is not stupid, Nady (although the Yankees gave up just Tabata and fillers) was being overvalued and is not much more valuable then Juan Rivera, Casey Blake, or Austin KEarns. The only difference in those guys is what they could cost in terms of prospects. It drives me crazy how people act as if Nady is some all star. I am more concerned with the Mets getting another arm in their bullpen. I think that Pedro is either not coming back or will be susceptable to going down with an injury.
